UPDATE ON RONALD VOLKMAN
Posted by Charbs on October 30, 2024 at 9:26am
Hey guys! Just an update from a very close source. Ronald Volkman had a run with Parra last week to determine clearance for fitness & injury. Word is that he has offers from both Parramatta and Manly at this stage. Him being a local junior, would be good to have him back!

He and Hawkins would be great as depth players to cover for any injuries or rep duties in our halves.

Doesn't look like we are anywhere close to being done with signings - still a fair few to come!

Hunt could end up anywhere however I would have thought Maguire might be keen to sack Mam & bring him back to the Broncos.
I agree, though I’m not sure how well a Reynolds/Hunt combo would go? Wouldn’t be surprised on roosters either, gone very on that deal for Sam Walker that was supposedly done? Hunt hasn’t won a title and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s high on his agenda in the club he goes to that they’re a contender. Broncos and roosters would tick that box

Perhaps Hunt to hooker & bring in Coby Black if he’s ready, although he’s primarily a halfback as well I think

Yeah I think he’d be an upgrade on Billy Walters and could be handy to Maguire to let the ex coaches son go. They’ve got a highly regarded Blake Mozer that they won’t want to lose that could play backup to Hunt at hooker
who would sign Walters though... Dolphins maybe?

Yes, confirms that he has signed for the Knights though.

"The decision over his next destination may come down to twin brother Tyrone Thompson, who has joined the Knights."

And this article is behind a paywall says he has signed for 1 year on development contract

Fuck great find, thank you mate. And i cannot see the downside then on going for leo... Knights will even teach his brother to play league before he comes back to NZ ;)
