• Website Update

The website will be going through an update today (15/01/2024) in preparation for the new season. Please be patient whist this occurs. Some things will look different whilst this is ongoing and some things may not work whilst a large number of customisation is turned off, updated, brought back on and customised again. Sorry for the inconvenience but the offseason is the best time to do these things.

Zion & Jacob Laban's 1st year in NSW cup
As SJ2k mentioned, he’s not going to get us to the grand final alone but along with a starting prop like BHU or the likes could see us benefit from his experience and size you mentioned from the bench. A pack like
AFB
Egan
BHU
Niukore
Ford
Harris
with a bench of
Walker
Afoa/Ale/Zyon Maiu’u/CHT/Lussick (any option dictated by who opposition is)
Barnett
RFM
would be unreal.
It's Zion and Jacob Laban's 1st year in the NSW side, Demetric with an ACL, Curran & Siro both gone.
We have to go to the market for someone

Reckon this guy would make a great front rower with his leg drive and from Auckland. At 19 is going to get bigger already at 190cm and 105kg. Sounding like there’s a possibility cowboys won’t be able to hold onto him with their abundance of second rowers. Watching this footage I reckon he could transition to the front row like JFH.
We already got 3 gun, teen Second rowers

I won’t be surprised if we sign a 2nd rower with ball playing skills ( Luki/ Riki/) and a prop for the 25 season
Our current back rowers dont offer this threat at the moment.
Our exciting young backrowers ( Laban. Halasima, Stowers-Smith) are 2-3 years from getting going as first graders, and then we might see Niukore begin a transition to the front row for season 26.

Curran and Sirro gone.
2 free bench spots.
Assume Roger has one 3/4 line spot locked in.
Chanel , Tmm , Metcalf serious 5/8 options.
Bench of Walker , Jazz, .......... , ......... .
Do we promote from within?
Are these boys ready?
Afoa and Ale? Not dynamic enough.
If Chanel can play Sirros role that's one spot filled. But Imo. He can ball play but he's not the prop/backrower workhorse sirro was. He is definately more your half/hooker/Nicho hynes mold 14.

1 bench prop/backrower short.

Also I worry if webby rolls out this year's game plan again we will get found out.
worried about Tohus age + knees. It's like all our consumate professionals are aging or injury ridden.

I think there will be a little movement now with Curren gone. We may get another basic player in and upgrade some juniors. Bench will sort itself out in the preseason, where some player may surprise (like Ford)
I have no concerns about the game plan No evolving. Webby always said he has a long term plan and 2023 was all about laying a foundation. I’m sure he will implement more in 2024
