I always struggle to work out who played which side, think Zac Lomax switched around a bit as well. I know the 2 Feagai’s played the same side when Lomax was out injured.
Nah Suli and Feagai generally shared the same side. Agree though that Lomax is a slack defender and has a tendency to drop down on the player like NAS does sometimes.

Look at our try here at 34 seconds. This is what we need from our left sided half this year - punchy short sides when teams stack the other side to defend SJ and our right side.

I think the left was victim of circumstance rather than anything else.
TMM went ok there for a few games at the start if the season. But he was out and replaced by walker and volkman a couple of times. Then he does his leg and we use walker and maybe volkmann again until Metcalfe was there consistently for like 10? Games straight and we actually saw the left fire a few more shots. Then metcalfe went down walker in then TMM for the finals...
No consistency really.
And SJ plays left too. Just not as much.

I see this guy Toby has been training with us since December and I think he joined us to play for the Jersey Flegg Cup. Keep an eye on him

Upper Hutt Boy from my neighbourhood. Turned up with over 1000 other people in open try outs for the warriors age group side and scored three tries and made it in. Didn't get selected for the Hurricanes because the Rams lose so often and players don't look good when they lose. Named captain of the Rams senior mens prem team at 19 years old. He is a loss to union and a gain to league. He will end up in first grade.

I wonder what position a number 8 what play in league. Second row I guess. Or maybe make him a Moses Suli like Centre.

I had also heard he might try for the NSW cup team. So we will see where he ends up.

Michael Chammas has reported that the Raiders have denied a release to Zac Woolford to join St George for 2024

In the same article it was also reported that the club had major interest in luring Christian Tuipulotu from Manly but Manly have no intention of releasing him

I wonder if St Helen’s half Lewis Dodd is on the radar?
Available from 2025 and has signed with an Australian management agency
Lewis Dodd, star of St Helens RLFC in the Super Leagueand arguably the best young talent in rugby league, has refused to rule out a future move to the NRL.

Off-contract at the end of the 2024 season, the future English international is remembered in Australia as the player who led his club to defeat the Penrith Panthers in the 2023 World Club Challenge.

It is understood that while he may be off-contract at the end of next season, he does have an option with St Helens RLFC to extend his tenure at the club, but there has yet to be an update on this situation.

However, he could be set to make more memories in Australia with the playmaker refusing to rule out a future move to the NRL.

A product of the renowned St Helens Academy, he signed with the club at the age of 15 before making his Super League debut three years later. Now 59 games into his career, Dodd could be looking at a change of scenery.
I don't know. You never know what is around the corner. What I've got to focus on - and what the lads have to focus on - is we're going into a new season and we're not champions," Dodd told UK publication The Mirror

If we talk again at the end of the year and we're champions, that's probably a better time to talk. But we've got a job to do this year and that's what me and the rest of the lads are focused on.”

If he does move to the NRL, the Canberra Raiders, Canterbury Bulldogs, and St George Illawarra Dragons will be the three main teams showing interest in Dodd due to their lack of halves.

His signing for the Raiders would be invaluable after they lost Jack Wighton, Matt Frawley and Brad Schneider. The club is struggling in experience and desperately needs a star to partner with young guns Kaeo Weekes and Ethan Strange.

The same can be said for the Dragons, who have failed to recruit a star playmaker - Ben Hunt is also set to depart the club at the end of his contract. They have also recently lost Talatau Amone and Ronald Volkman due to unforeseen circumstances.

Despite the Bulldogs having Matt Burton and Toby Sextonas their current halves pairing and having some great youngsters in Mitchell Woods and Alex Conti coming through their pathways system, Dodd would easily be the number one choice.

It would also allow Burton to move back into the centres and create a lethal outside-back partnership with Stephen Crichton, Josh Addo-Carr and Jacob Kiraz
