🤖 Thread Summary

The discussion revolves around the Warriors vs. Tigers game, with focus on player selection and the team's prospects. Initially, there was disappointment over Ed Kosi's selection, sydneywarrior92 #2 defended the decision due to limited alternatives, hoping Kosi's work through the middle would be beneficial despite defensive concerns. Multiple fans expressed their hopes for Kosi to perform well, Completion Rate #7 wishing him the best and MrFrankWhite #14 defending Kosi from excessive criticism.

Concerns were raised by multiple users regarding the team's ability to adjust after losing key players like Walker and RTS, with Tonbridgeaka Swanley^15 predicting a loss and others expressing similar worries. However, sydneywarrior92 #24 drew parallels to a previous successful game, maintaining optimism and predicting a Warriors victory. The discussion also touched on potential late shuffling of the deck, The Undertaker #10 wondering if TMM might start at fullback.

Later in the thread, after the game had begun, fans commented on the team's performance and individual players. Dlenai #40 noted a strong start with solid defense, Christchurch_Warrior #41 highlighted Vaimauga's footwork. Makasene #44 praised the team's enterprising attack but expressed frustration with Metcalf's ball-playing abilities, sydneywarrior92 #43 commended Demetric's performance.

My two cents on the topic is:

CNK had an amazing game three after a shithouse game one and a good game two. That doesn't cement him as immoveable in my opinion. My opinion. My opinion. Just to be clear about it being my opinion.

Having TMM at the back was also an opinion on how to mitigate the risk of having Kosi play. Of which I am not a fan but am willing to tolerate. Kosi is like Manu in that he has buttery fingers, is slow turning in defence. But Manu got about 150 tries.

That's most of my two cents at why. Let's now settle on the fact that my opinions have zero control of team inclusions.

We (even KOSI) are the Warriors 💯%%%
but has TMM ever played fullback for us? I don't ever recall it happening. I have no doubt he'd add to the attack, but playing no 1 also has important defensive requirements which I don't think TMM has been tested with. So it seems like an incredibly left field option that hasn't been tested. I take your point about CNK's shortcomings but I think Taine shifting there from the wing after DWZ comes back is probably better for us if we are thinking about moving CNK to wing.

For those who give a fuck - which absolutely no one will. My entrance exam to my MBA was in the 93rd percentile which does qualify me to apply for acceptance to Mensa. However that was 25 years ago and I am sure has gone stale now.
Automatic disqualification based on the latest rules Wrighty

Entry to Mensa is open to those whose IQ is in the top 2% of the population. Generally, there are two ways to prove that you qualify for Mensa: either take the supervised Mensa test or submit a qualifying test score from another supervised test.
The following of the New Zealand Warriors automatically disqualifies an applicant, as no one with an IQ greater than that of Forrest Gump would dedicate their life to such a futile cause.

I'm going Warriors 13+ although I'm not expecting a walk in the park. If we can maintain our current trend of dominating posession and field position with a decent completion rate, we'll be more than what the Tigers have faced so far, it's just a matter of can we capitalise? I think our defence holds up.

A wet weather plan would be good too.

I think it is actually warm and humid now. The Jersey Flegg game had drinks breaks because of the heat. The big fella upstairs playing mind games with us this week.

Fullback for Broncos - did well

One trial for us this pre season if I remember correctly. Did well

I like your options bro. But I like having the space to express mine. Let's be different on this without hostility. I'm looking forward to this game

It is funny how we often times do not put ourselves in the opposition fans shoes before kick off.

I expect that Tigers fans will see us as a good target, a respectable scalp, someone to aim up against.

At the same time they will rightly expect their mob to get this done and take the two points at home in a very winnable contest.

I mean seriously, if you were a Tigers fan, which of our Roster would have you sweating bricks today?

No one for mine, no disrespect to my own.

I personally think this will be a war of attrition if it is gonna go well for us. If it is about the wrestle I think we do well.

If it is an opportunist expansive game I think we will be chasing the Tigers rather than the other way around.
