Would this have any impact on the proposed ChCh team. Pretty smart move on Roosters part to rip up the best of the young talent in the SI while there is no opposiition or is this the normal Rooosters hunting ground.

Hasn't been really but Arch Jacobs from Eastern Eagles is a Roosters scout, and Rolleston's a growing new catchment area post-quakes so it's a pretty shrewd move.

The Rolleston area is predicted to grow to 30000 in the next 5 years. Rolleston College to grow I believe by another 1000 in that time to around 2800 kids.
Hats off to the school embracing both rugby and league.
This says alot about the potential for another team out of ChCh with the Regional set up aligned with The Bulldogs, and the back to back national schools champs (StThomas) also out of ChCh.
