Feel nauseous after that. However we weren't that bad: Hughes was very good, and our ruck got destroyed after JFH went off - the strike the Storm has once there is a bite into the opposition's defensive line is deadly. Looking forward to next week when we announce our big signing lol - Just hope JFH isn't out for an extended period, I think that will kill us over time - got to sort out our right side defence, that was the biggest failing in the whole match

How so? There was the one try on him when he was one on one with there prop. But that's an error on Ford not trusting the markers on grant.

I understand everyone dog piling him. But interesting to see how he was the cause of our defense being awful.

I’m not on the Metcalf train but I thought he was decent tonight… put his body on the line and gave it his all. Can’t ask for anything more

He’ll only get better…

My problem is when he finally matures and figures it out he’ll be playing for someone else

I dunno, a few I'm sure will but considering how they dealt with his injuries and now with how long he's been with us. I hope and see him as being like Egan. Where no one is saying Egan is leaving NZ soon yet he is an Aussie. And Metcalf has now been with us for a while.

Did I say he was the sole cause? They targeted him well, one of the few teams to do so isolating him effectively this season.

Fair, although I don't think it's his fault and more of a fault on his inside prop most of the time. Marta has done a good job covering his outside though, as much as I don't think he's worth even 2/3rds of his paycheck.

Two big bodies in Marata and Ali previously helped. Not sure the big backline reshuffle to accommodate Berry was the best move, particularly against the Storm. Hindsight though.

How many shuffles can the same backline have. I agree on the bad reshuffle, but kosi would of been worse in my opinion. In the tigers game he has 0 tackles, so although it was a good game for him. He was not tested and the storm would of tested him.

Overall it seems like bad planning from recruitment to have no true backup wingers for 2025. TT is not a true one although he is damn good inspite of that. And then there is kosi.

Meh, Melbourne are the easy favourites this year and at home in hot conditions it was going to be a ridiculously hard game. The boys plugged away in the 2nd half and restricted the damage.

We aren’t winning the comp this year or coming close, it’s about developing players and instilling an attitude of competing this year. At this point I’m happy they are doing both. That will help us recruit the quality attackers that we don’t have at this point.

I’m pretty sure that was Ford #15 who left the gap and was too close to the marker when he should have been marking closer to King

He had a shocking game mr 80min man
