Pretty hard to not wrap the arms if he's contesting that.

Agreed when you're in the air falling back like that it would be natural instinct to wrap the arms and in the process save coates from landing in a much Worse position.
Edit : and also making it easier for coates to catch the ball by keeping him upright/slowing his decent.
Fwiw I'm impartial to either team.

Billy should switch Hammer and Holmes over and get some speed on the wing and hopefully a bit of starch in defence against Chrichton. Hammers effort level at the Dolphins isn’t up to par at centre. Holmes is not fast enough for wing either. Way too early for Toia but he’s having a dig.

As much as I would like a penalty try, the bar is pretty high for a penalty try. If he had the ball in his hands and was a few cm away from putting it down then a penalty was committed then it's a penalty try. That's about it these days.
