Vager was a disgrace… protected species cos of her dickhead husband. Whoever said they put $20 on the Warriors to win the GF would be better off plonking it in a pyramid scheme🤷‍♀️
I put $75 on the warriors to win the minor premiership after the manly game! Odds were 10 to 1. Fck me what a waste….false hopes dashed, but hey it’s the warriors!

Very interesting when you look at the stats from the match.

possession 2% higher for the WARs
Completions 4% higher for the WARs
average play the ball speed .27 secs faster from the WARs
tackle breaks 1+ WARs
Post contact metres 15m+ WARs
tackles made 65+ Roosters
Errors 2+ Roosters
Penalties 5+ Roosters WTF ??

where WARs let themselves down tech-wise and rooster shined
INEFFECTIVE TACKLES
OFFLOADS
RETURN KICK METRES
AV SET METRES

so for me we know are edges are weak ...but also some of are forwards lacking impact + low offloads .. bench lacking impact IMHO

Johnson out for 4-6 weeks is going to be tough. he had that leg injury late in the season years ago. We were close to the semis than pretty much fell off the rails big time.

We were sinking before he got injured. Can see it looking even uglier without Johnson.
Sometimes losing the playmaker can be of benefit to the side. It makes another playmaker step up to take his place. I will be watching how TMM performs as the dominant half.

Major point:Rocco puts our whole defensive line under pressure (which saps energy we can’t recover from)with constant grass cutters….Opponents get fast PTB whilst our centre is still out of the D line….
Coaches are exploiting this tackling habit now….

NRL don’t reward one on one safe tackles period!!!!
-That technique should hold bigger value with a 5sec timed delay before play restarts possibly….
But as of right now it’s fukn us big time….
Big call and interesting take, I hadn't really considered this. Interested to see stats on that, are you putting it down to Berry not making dominant tackles and allowing fast ptb while he's left behind the ruck? I thought he was first man there through effort and the problem was no one else coming in quick enough to help wrap up the ball, but it could be his technique going in too low union style.

I'm sure there was another thread re: how are you feeling at the moment, or something along those lines. I can't find it so here goes...

Early Games:
My gut feel is not bagging points in those first 2 games has been a huge factor in this slump and our loss of confidence. The team had massive expectations heading into this year and rightly so after last year and the offseasons acquisitions. So to then lose 2 in a row with one of those at home in front of a sold out crowd who you didnt lose to last year, and the other by a miracle try, wouldve been hugely deflating. It then forced them to need points in the next few games to stay in contact with those top teams and the top 4 which I am sure the team wouldve been shooting for. They got some points but it didnt look as slick as last year and I feel the pressure was already beginning to build. From there it turned into panic footie and although we won games (and drew 1) by the skin of our teeth we were often not convincing. The pressure valve continued to build and when the Titans rolled us it just tightened further.

Injuries
On top of that we have had a massive injury toll. I concede that aside from Rogers and SJs injury today they havent necessarily been to key personnel and other teams have issues which many have overcome, but the issue has just been a share numbers game and we dont quite have the depth to cover this number of injuries. Yes our depth is solid, but if you keep digging too deep into reserves its going to become pretty dire unless you have an established pathways system like the Panthers.

Attitude:
Tbh with you, although this season is essentially as good as gone I have largely been pretty happy with the teams attitude. Yes its not that Melbourne Storm level grit, but comparative to seasons and teams past at least I can see this team and coach really give a shit. They dig in when the going is tough. They are fighting. I saw some video footage of the sheds from last week and they were all dejected but they were all listening attentatively. There was no shit 'I dgaf' body language. They truly are in this together. And this is what gives me hope moving forward. There is still light at the end of this tunnel for me...maybe not this year, but these guys will learn.

Obviously I'm gutted and now I am also a bit apathetic about the games and season sadly. This ship (club) is going to take awhile to turn around in its entirety but the powers that be are putting the pieces of the puzzle together (the pathways and success with Harold Matthews being a case in point). I back Webbie as our coach and still believe he is the right man for this club. Remember he will learn from this and grow as well.
Generally I agree with you but would make one point. We did struggle to make the top four last year, limping in by small margins to lessor teams such as the Dragons and Tigers. I reckon this gave us a false sense of security when coupled with the Up the Wahs fanfare across the country.

I don't even know what to say, what on earth has actually happened to us.
We discuss so many issues and solutions but to repeat my opinion and it includes other people's ideas too. Our pack is not dominating other packs. Therefore even when we get into good scoring territory we are getting poor quality ball for SJ (who is too dominant a playmaker) to execute our set moves or even play off the cuff.

The reason our pack is losing is because our only dominant forwards with ball in hand are Addin (oh man he's leaving) and Barney (who's not actually a prop). That leaves injury prone Capewell, old and slow Tohu and mistake prone Fordy.

Then our defence has decayed and is brittle and easily compressed causing the edge and wings to come in to stop the middle leaks. When it's straight numbering up issues, individuals are either failing their 1 on 1 tackles or leaving their post or simply our compressed defence makes us outnumbered by at least 1 - 5 opposition players.

Throw in our lack of planning around having anyone else but Shaun making plays and that covers a lot of our issues. We seem to have lots of mediocrity players at this point

MrFrankWhite MrFrankWhite you on Tohu watch today sarge? Had one glaring forward pass but he looked a bit more energised, bit of sting in a few tackles, less laying around dying behind the play. Or am I blind to his failings. Not saying he was dynamic, he is called Zombie after all. Actually the whole team looked like WW1 vets back from the Somme after being gassed and shelled.

I thought our bench was great, Ale was a mini AFB, Jazz with energy, Walker was tough, one of Ale or Zyon Maiu’u needs to be that big power energizer so Marata can go back to second row next month, hard watching SJ getting destroyed tackling huge forwards

Pompey needs to be on the field for the remainder of the season, under appreciated iron man, nice goal kicks too

Said all along I didnt see the point in RTS at centre. Stick him at 1 or 6 so he gets the ball in his hands otherwise it's pointless him being in the side.
💯 He's lethal with a bit of space to work with. He doesn't get room to move at centre.

CNK would do a better job there. It should be what's best for the team, not what's best for Charnze.
