We looked remarkably OK when SJ went to the bench. We had to simplify and just run direct. It suited us. Good signs for next week without SJ.

It is amazing how far off the pace we have fallen. I know we weren't great in the early rounds but there was a lot more positives to be taken from them. The issue was not playing for the full 80.

Sure we have injuries but you still need to catch the ball and make your tackles if you are selected. It is the fact we are getting run over the top of and struggling to play out a game plan.

The short passes should be put away for a while. Especially in our end or when we haven't had much ball.

The last few games brought us back to earth with a thump..
A few bad luck calls and at least 2 should be sin bins didn't help.
Webbys got a headache now with SJ going down throws the spanner in the works 3 half's gone now. And a bunch more injuries..
Oh well Tues team list will be interesting to say the least..

Time to look to the future.

I'd be keen to see Ale at 13. He had a good run a few weeks ago getting to the gap behind the play the ball. Give him instructions to use a bit of foot work and aim to come back behind the play the ball. Or just run hard and take the hit.

His leg speed and aggression would help. Not to fussed about the passing in the middle at the moment as it doesn't matter if the other player drops it.

We should have got more game time in Laban while we had injuries in his position instead of moving other players there like Barnett which then needs to have that position covered as well. Even if they were worried about the full 80 at least have Laban start and get interchanged or come off the bench.

A few of the weeks he probably would have gave us a better looking bench.
