I say a fair bit but it matters most what changes have been made from seasons past to today. Did we pitch this high a year ago? No but we're here. So kill mode it is. Go Niukore. Show them how Muss this team is

Defence will win this game. If we are strong on D from minute 1 to minute 80, we will take the Panthers close, if not pull off an unlikely victory.

Everyone is talking about TMM and Walkers kicking game. But no one has really mentioned Egan. That’s a wildcard.

Will our kicking game SJ accurate? No. But we have to back ourselves. I think this team defensively are very very good when we have the full team on the park.

In terms of playmaking, Harris, Walker, TMM and Egan all have great ability. We can create chaos by having multiple points of attack.

With the selection of Walker over Volkman, Webby has prioritised defence and challenged several of our players to step up. I would not be surprised if there is a late change to the bench though with Lussick or Tuaupiki in for Sironen (who hasn’t had the best last few weeks with his D). i note Taine wasn’t named for Reggie’s. If we wanted to try something different, perhaps he comes in on the bench and plays a similar roving role to Metcalf? Thinking outside of the box is making my ears bleed…

I don’t think the panthers will steam over the top of us. But we need to ensure we don’t give them easy meters or field position.

Look - our chances of winning this are at best 10% in reality. But looking at how the French beat the all blacks this morning, I’d we complete above 90%, make few errors and dont drop off tackles, anything can happen. The deeper we take them into the game the more they will panic.

And hey, all it takes is an HIA or an injury or two and the picture is very different.

In any case, we can play with freedom tonight knowing we go home to a match at our place and we will fight another day.

I hope we give it a real big crack.

UP THE FKN WAHS!

A lift in intensity is needed and if we don't lift we will look like Storm did last night. Their ball retention was abysmal and that is also key.
We've practiced intensity & effort over the season in our defence & mostly taken our chances in attack from that.
Lifting for finals is a whole other ball game to the regular season, let's hope the foundational stuff we've done is accompanied by intense desire to be in the game for the whole 80.
If we hold them out for the first 20, and make the most of the chances we work for, we're in it. Then If we hold them out in the last 20 we can win it.
Win or lose, the whole team will have learnt what's needed in a final series & second game whenever it is.

I did my usual 13+ ritual I do every week which has pretty much worked this year so why change a winning formula 😆 ... edge of the seat game this, up hill battle without SJ but as everyone knows anything can happen and I'm hoping it will for us...... let's gone, let's eat, up the wahs

Queensland showed the way of how to upset the Cleary, Yeo combination in state of origin game 1, with Luai as well. Up quick and limit their time. I think we match them in the forwards but their back 5 is their strength, if our backs can defend these guys and the game is a forward battle I reckon we can get over them. I like Tevaga on the bench to fight fire when Leniu comes on.

If we got the win, It would go down in Warriors history, NRL history!!!!
Penrith have "named" their Finals campaign - "Hunting History".

Lots of ego in that...

Melbourne turned up at Suncorp last night for an ambush... to rattle cages... well, Brisbane beat them to punch and rattled first. Who ambushed who?

Webster had best remind the boys that today the hunters become The Hunted!

Was initially gutted when SJ dropped out, but pretty relaxed about it now. Feels like the pressure's off. All I wanna see tonight is our best defence, and doubling down on our strengths which is our forward play and pulling apart the ruck. Looking forward to seeing guys like Jazz and Curran stopping players in their tracks and really stifling the Pennies go forward.
