International Origin in NZ

You’re failing to see the bigger picture.
There is no bigger picture, that’s the only picture. Origin is already popular, the event will be popular, hospitality will go well, then the ARL say thanks very much and take all the revenue home with them.

It’s the same as the all blacks playing games in the US, they don’t give a fuck about the code there, it’s just revenue generation.

Will be interesting to see how its viewed because a lot of the point of view I’ve seen is it’s Aussie’s and should be played in Queensland or NSW, though they do take games to other states. It’s certainly a step up in intensity but I’ve seen plenty of club games I’d view as an as good if not better spectacle. Feel like it’s a format of yesteryear that can never live up to the hype of previous era’s because of the brutality and that those days are gone. Suaalii’s hit on Walsh would be the most origin moment I can remember in recent times and he was sent off

It will sell out, it will raise the exposure of league in NZ further (not everyone’s a Warriors supporter), it will be good for the Auckland economy. What’s not to like?
