Just got back from the game, conditions weren’t that evident on TV but they were awful at the ground.
Never going to be a high scoring match under those conditions so people needed to lower those 50 expectations.
Happy with that win, wasn’t pretty but we ground it out and apart from maybe the first 15 mins we didn’t ever look like losing

As long as Chanel is cemented there that's all that matters.
Te Maire will continue to grow into the team and he's now lept in front of Metcalf so it's all up to him and his training if he dethrones him.

We beat St George pretty convincingly at their home ground in crap conditions.

The Panthers struggled against them last week in good conditions.

Really good result IMO

it was scrappy af but 2 pts is 2 pts. Given the weather conditions, we really couldn't have expected a performance as clinical as last week. We still scored 6 tries and put 30 pts on, close to our average of 32 pts per game. Now we need to prepare ourselves for the game of the year next week. We are playing for 1st place next week.

they will play: first place is effectively on the line on Sunday. And I think we want the satisfaction of beating the Penrith A team, not their B team. If we do get over the line next week, no one will be in any doubt that it is either us or Penrith for the prem this year. No Phins, Manly or Chooks.

It really is incredible if you think about it that we've scored 72 pts in the last 2 weeks with effectively our third string half back and only using 15 players for both games. Last week we never used TSS or Laban. This week we lost EIT and RTS today.

NRl.com stats is wonky at best of times, but unfortunately a lot of sites ie Supercoach etc now use them. Checked and those stats are only for first half on nrl.com right now. Foxsports use a better method for identifying runs, metres,, missed tackles etc.

*this site also reluctantly uses nrl.com stats due it being generally the more quoted ones for consistency

I swear he was even playing in the centers when AKP got sin binned last week. Bro will do anything for the team. Definitely doesn't get enough props but he was the first one doing the kick chase every time. I'm convinced he's part android.

Forked out nearly 500m in the wet and evenly distributed between the two kickers, they probably will let CHT do most of long kicks next week to fatigue one edge like TMM was saying
