I haven’t read the whole thread but as the conductor of the Pompey is stink train for many years now, it warms my heart to see so many passengers. Welcome.

Him and Niukore can go wherever. Seriously. Anywhere other than first grade. The lack of quality from those 2 was so glaring this game because everyone else is playing at a high level. I expect a rematch come grand final day.

The difference between Elie players and good players is mentality. Thinking and knowing they can make a difference. When the Warriors made the break and nearly scored through Laban. Laban was the only player who followed up on the left edge in support. He does not give up on the play. Pompey and AKP do because they don't think they can make a difference. If RTS is playing he follows up and gets an off load from Laban to score.

Yes, RTS is a better player talent wise but he also has that elite mentality. Pomey doesn't. We will miss RTS the most out of all of injured players for the rest of the season.

I thought his conversions were clutch

No idea why he’s being singled out

Chanel been icing those plays all year but botching one definite try and then holding the ball too long the other times was kind of the difference.

Kick contests are always a lottery some go your way some don’t

Niukore, time to park that bus in reserve grade or unused on the bench.

Taine was great, kicking game was good enough

That was the highest quality NRL game of the season. Its not often you get one so even both teams get confidence out of it no matter the result.
The bar has been set.
Only a few teams have shown glimpses of being at that level so far this year.
Cowboys?
Roosters?
Have to keep the mojo going over the bye, lots to be happy with and plenty of time to practice work-ons, but the Sharks will be another test of the consistency. Can we blow them away with that level of intensity? Can we replicate it?
Looking forward to getting the rub of the green at home over the next couple of games.
Up The Wahs.
Enjoy your Monday off.
Up the wahs and long live the king.

That was a high quality game and we left tries out there.

As much as I always want us to win I get the feeling that was a good one to lose. Gives us a kick mid season that tells us we still need to improve.

Thought Taine was our player of the match, TSS not far behind.

A few players finding out that they need to focus for the whole 80

Onwards! We will be so much better for this game.
Taine was good but he still needs to find a pass. It looked pretty clear we’re still lacking speed and X factor, Be interesting to see what Webby does with Linnane and Metcalf, not too fussed on Metcalf but we definitely need to get Linnane in the team, kids got it all, Attitude, Talent, Aggression, speed. No point saving him for next year, He’s already streets above Pompey, this is our year blood him now.

I know it's against the Dragons, who even with their win against the Broncos won't inspire too many casuals, but I wonder how full Mt Smart will be on Saturday 18 July when the Warriors go up against New Zealand v Ireland at Eden Park??

Bro was kicking from right in front, what are u talking about.

First two sure, last one wasn't a gimme at all and with the pressure of being for the lead. Boyd's clanged a few of these.

Pomps definitely should've given AKP early pill for a crack at the corner on that last long shift to the left though.

Taine not passing to DWZ at the end I'm good with, Panthers had it covered. Should've just taken the tackle though.

If TMM had his time back he probably should've played short to Ali who was every chance of powering through Talagi.

Anyone know what happened here. Fastest guy on the field 20 metres behind the play?

We know Pomps isn't exactly lightning but AKP with his speed should be right up on Labans shoulder.

3 on 1 and it would have been good night
Will probably make the boys work extra hard on backing up and fine tune the corner plays
Wonder if Pompey wasn’t giving because he’s not able to hold the defenders, roger just his presence draws the winger in, Linnane or Berry probably draws the winger
Pompey our best goal kicker though, everyone else including boyd and mets will be miss 1-2 of the ones tonight, no joke, I like his step before the kick and just nailing it like an elite kicker these days
