I imagine TSS drops off and becomes the reserve player. I think we roll with Ford and JFH to start as we have. Ford to play his customary long minutes and Barney to spell JFH. For our middle defense, I think it makes sense to have either one of JFH/Barney to be on the field at all times during the game.

Remember that choker Tanah has become Hyper Tanah. Futter Bingers Ford has become 6.8L V8 Ford.

Now we just need 31 year old legs to become agile fast light but still tough legs. This is the year of the improvement.

Gagai strikes me as the kind of player who will want to put a rookie superstar like Leka in his place.

He's still a good centre defensively and if he gets some early ball and has Leka 1 on 1 I reckon Gagai beats him. I hope hes had a few reps at centre over the off-season

none of this matters if we dominate the middle. Make sure they never enter our red zone so that we don't need to worry about the dangers in their backline. Just like we did for the chooks game.

What I said above could be applied to a more mature Leka that was kinda in centre when he skinned four Raiders last week.

Imagine last year Leka with the same pre season as Tanah and Fordy. Leka plus improvements I think will give Gagai something to chew on for sure.

Did you see him after the final whistle? He looked emotionally spent. Whoever and whatever touched Tanah and Fordy with the pre season magic brush needs to do another coat on Ali. He'll destroy Best if he gets his groove into top gear.

his performance last week was a marked improvement on week 1. We don't win last week without his intercept. It's also his second NRL game in a long while. He will only get better with more game time. He is a beast- he just needs to realize it both on attack and defense.
