I was hesitant about Marata because of the much discussed lateral movement issue but this feels like some kind of year with everybody with heavy criticisms coming into red hot form thus far. Give it snot Marata.

32 year old, post-ACL Barney is a middle only imo.
Gannon (or EIT) needs to be there to cover Laban and Niukore

As you mention AKP is the 6th just looks weird due to the 19th Jersey retirement.

what is weird is normally when the opposition has no 19, we have a different number on the other side for the sixth person on the bench. But this week, we just left it blank.

tbh I wish Ponga, Brown and Sharpe were all playing. Now if we win, the narrative will be all about how brave Newcastle were if the result is anything other than a Wahs 30+ win. If we somehow lose this, then it'll be about how we can't travel, etc.
