General NZ Warriors or Auckland Warriors

That dudes article is all over the place. I think it’s pretty obvious who the Warriors represent- it’s pretty much the defacto NZ team to support. Id be looking at who half the Sydney teams actually represent before pointing the finger at 1 club areas.
Would also question the line “The overwhelming majority of fans are from Auckland” - certainly isn’t the case in my experience.

If NZ 2 come in don’t see a real need to change the name, there’s a case of a time where there were 3 teams going by Sydney and it wasn’t an issue, BBL has 2x ‘Sydney’s’ and 2x Melbourne with no dramas.
If they do change just go by ‘Warriors’ people know it’s Auckland but no need to try and alienate 2/3rds if the potential supporter base.
