Yes I think I know who. I have signed up already for the group and saw his comment saying that !!! So far as i know Smith has at least 30% ownership and i am one of the few anti podding him. I could easily live to regret it and I agree that at $300K you can't lose much money and if he fails you just trade him out so there is nothing to lost really. And now that i have said all that I wish I had him as my back up hooker in stead of Tallyn Da Silva who will get even less minutes but I have spent all my money now and am not really touching my team much now until TLT when I will give it a major shake up.
I agree with your points he is a good purchase but only because his cost is $300K any more that that and he would not be.

a) Randall at $487K - chance to start on the edge. Averages 43.7 when starting at second row
b) Mahoney at $488K - can go over 50 points on a good day but may have Soni Luke taking minutes away from him.

Not that it means much until round 1, but I haven't typically seen Soni Luke in the predicted 17s. I don't think Mahoney who is a proven 80 minute hooker will be mucked around like he was with the oddball Bulldogs rotations last season and should get plenty of minutes as a marquee signing.

I've concluded that Mahoney might be 'must-have'

In a 7-season career he averages 48.7 as a starting hooker.

That makes him 12 points underpriced to start this year.

He's 10 points underpriced on his final 12 games last year.

I expect he will be an 80 minute hooker as well. Luke is depth I reckon.

In the end due to mounting momentum behind Brandon Smith playing at 9 in the media I felt obliged to trade
Mahoney and Owen Pattie for Hayward and Smith. Hayward has much worse job security but should have 10 points of value if he plays consistently.

Another question to anybody.
I can take one of either Doueihi or Sam Walker as my third half? 12% have taken Adam but only 3.2% have taken Sam.
Sam is behind the better pack but has to share the cutter with a normally dominant half in DCE so at the very minimum Sam's kicking metres will go down. But he only had 207 average kicking metres last year anyway.

What do you mean Hayward has worse job security than Pattie? Hayward has no competition & Pattie will be lucky to snag a bench role

AD is an elite scorer when playing in the halves. Hes a ball hog who loves racking easy fantasy points. If his job security looks decent then i dont see a world where i dont start with him.
Walker is kind of the opposite type of player. He's a very skillful guy, but not a tackle breaker, offloader etc and loves a missed tackle. Hes a great NRL player but not a great fantasy player. (just my 2c)

This should be impossible - Dan private messaged the code to just 20 people and the 20 included himself.

We will need to do a Sherlock holmes here and investigate.

If worse to comes to worse we may need to sign you up as 17th person to the 2nd league and then get an 18th person (Rizzah volunteered) to make it even numbers.
