Kolo is there assuming he gets the starting lock role and is healthy. You’re spot on with that assessment. If that falls apart I’ll probably have the cap space to work with.
Bench has metcalf and horsburgh with a reasonably cheap third and vacant fourth.
You can probably guess my reserves are a group that won’t touch first grade. It’s not how I normally play but I felt like going all in week 1 lol.
Personally I’d never buy a player that isn’t playing. Your EMG players are almost as important as your scoring 17. They need to be increasing in value so you can sell them to buy more guns. If your team value slips behind other players you make it really hard to score well. Especially since you are in a head to head competition, where team value is arguably more important than overall rank.
Your whole goal is to have the best possible 18 (17 plus a looper) scoring players coming into round 23.
A general rule of thumb for any player you choose for your starting team is that they are a top tier gun you will be happy to hold all season or they have ten points of value. If a player isn’t ticking one of those boxes then it’s pretty hard to justify starting with them.

Apparently there are no changes to the current positions before the season starts.
There is a position update early in the season. Maybe even after round 1. Not sure when it is.

Any player that doesn’t already have dual will get dual if they are named in a different position for round one. Occasionally if the player is clearly just there for one game they won’t give it. (Pretty sure CHT was named at hooker round one a couple of years ago and didn’t get hooker dual)
Also Titans players will miss though, bso cause they have a bye round one. So players like Brimson will likely have to wait till round 7 to get half dual added.
Only time players can lose dual is during the offseason. Once a player has dual they can’t be changed all season. Even if they only play another position they aren’t listed for all season.
