I am really regretting taking three warriors. Luckily i dropped Halasema before the match.Yea Metcalf can have one more game but it didn't look good.
Our biggest problem was that we were completely outmuscled up front.I am really regretting taking three warriors. Luckily i dropped Halasema before the match.
I will keep Vaimauga and Leiautaua....they looked they have potental to get better.
Metcalf seemed to have no idea. My major concern was that when the hooker passed him the ball he didn't operate at pace. He just turned and passed it to the next person rather than running into the line and squaring them up before passing.
The only good thing in my mind he did was make a well timed mistake. He tried a complex play with one minute left and lost the handle on the ball and knocked it on. And I thought good you will learn something from that play and it was at a moment with the scoreboard out of reach where it didn't matter. At least he tried to put on a move at that moment if that makes sense.
From a pure fantasy perspective, i did not expect CHT to take 50% of the kicking. And the missed tackles really hurt in that game. I don't expect the same level of missed tackles in any other game, as that is a skinnier feild into a offload heavy lineup. Kinda worstcase game for metcalf stat wise.I am really regretting taking three warriors. Luckily i dropped Halasema before the match.

I had a different take on the "out muscling". In the first twenty minutes their line speed was twice as fast as ours and it looked like we were being outmuscled as we were being tackled maybe two or three metres past the line of advantage instead of making 6 to 7 metres like they were. Were they off side? Don't know but they were damn fast with line speed. After twenty minutes they got puffed and both teams had the same line speed for the duration of the match. Our biggest problem was that we were completely outmuscled up front.
No excuses for anyone but you are going nowhere when your forwards are being dominated

With Metcalf you are going to be relying predominantly on his general kicking, goal kicks, and the odd try or try assist I think. We are going to struggle to score points I think so those attacking stats aren't going to be a consistent source of points. You may get the odd week here and there that gives you a decent game week score though. There are better options out there I thinkMetcalf had something like -17 in demerits, zero goals and basically no attacking stats. It was a mess, but from a fantasy perspective not much has to turn around for him to be a regular 45 point guy. It’s not great but if he’s the guy I’m most worried about coming into next round then it’s been a great start.
I went Raiders heavy which is pretty much a fantasy no no. It’s worked out ok so far though. Let’s just see how many get screwed over by Ricky.
Totally agree. It’s not going to be the slam dunk we hoped. But like Averillo in 2021 and Boyd in 2023, these halfbacks can come right after a shakey start. Of course he could just as easily be 2024 Hutchison or Flanagan. With Metcalf you are going to be relying predominantly on his general kicking, goal kicks, and the odd try or try assist I think. His value won’t change untill he plays. Which may not be all season. You will be able to move him freely in and out of your team up until the start of the Rabbitohs match. When will the Poll close? Since I'm currently 80 points ahead in my H2H, I'm keen for more games.
May not be Sunday night, of course!
Keeping my usual habit of always having 3 Warriors and trying for 3 Raiders (any Real Life NRL Coach's habit of naming favourites ain't nothing on mine!) and starting the season off with a $230-270k per player 8 man Bench in the hope they start with a hiss and a roar, go up in price and get sold or not as I decide...
The one error I just noticed is I'd been sitting on Cameron Murray, who is of course injured and will be out for a while. So I traded him out but not sure if his value was lower today than it was when I traded him in.
@WahsaurusRex - it looks like your team is showing as empty - better be quick to throw in a team for this weekend??Count me in Wrighty- This year is my year![]()
Both have 6-8 points of value if they can get over 50mins on the field.Hi
Advice please on who to take out of the following choice
1) Kelma Tuilagi price $420K
2) Finefeuiaki price $400K
Also is Robert Toia a good buy - or is he just warming a spot for Billy Smith
