I read your message wrong lol.
I thought you were thinking of Haas.
Yip great point, Bird will do a job for sure, I would look for 80 minute players for my starting edges though.

Bird is injury plagued, I wouldn’t touch him. He might have value but how long does he last before he requires a trade out? Far better options out there imo.
I figure if he can stay healthy just 5 rounds he will increase by $125K minimum so it is free cash as far as I am concerned. In he off chance he actually performs I will put him at centre - this only goes belly up me if he is so injury prone he can't even last 5 o 6 rounds.

Fair enough. He won’t be lock though. Klemmer & may mids, pole lock

Here is a common pundits view on round one tigers - they have him at lock with Pole off the bench. Even if is is the other way around he should still get plenty of minutes. Or at least I hope so. I will have a look at the team list om TLT if he is not lock I will change my mind then.

WESTS TIGERS

1. Jahream Bula 2. Sunia Turuva 3. Justin Olam 4. Adam Doueihi 5. Jeral Skelton 6. Lachlan Galvin 7. Jarome Luai 8. David Klemmer 9. Tallyn Da Silva 10. Terrell May 11. Alex Seyfarth 12. Samuela Fainu 13. Jack Bird 14. Latu Fainu 15. Fonua Pole 16. Royce Hunt 17. Alex Twal

What are people's vibe on ol Josh Schuster? Stupid amounts of talent back in 2022, failed to follow that up in 2023 and injuried/not selected in 2024. Priced at about a 29 point avarage (400k), do we think bennett can unlock him? Bit of a gamble tho

I have always thought he was a poor Half with poor ball handling skills. OK at second row although nothing to write home about. I will not be taking him. IF you do want to take him I suggest waiting for round one to go by so you can see if he plays and secondly how well he plays in that game then quickly jump on him.
I think taking him without watching him play first this year is a risk.

My team is sorted, it’ll probably change but as of right now it’s full.

I think most people will take a punt on bird id rather it fail and fail with everyone than have him pop off and miss out

Depends what you're thinking is. If you have a hunch that he could be a long term keeper I'd be bringing him in to your team. It saves you a trade and probably $100k (if you were to trade him in after a few good rounds) by picking him from the start.
For me, he's a huge unknown having had a shit attitude and out for all of last year. So, I'm happy to wait and see how he goes those first few rounds and burn a trade and cop the $100k price rises if he looks the goods.
I've only had a bit of a look as Fantasy still isn't working well for me but it looks like there are a few players out there who have changed teams, or are looking at a bigger role in a new club etc so I'd be looking at those guys first and foremost, and then seeing who impresses during the trials
