CORRUPT

you seem like such a kind dude.
your heart is in the right place, no doubt about that.

but you’re like the neighborhood
stray dog that just walks in to peoples houses, shits on the floor and leaves.

and then if anyone wants to speak with you about why you shit on the floor or what you meant by it, you’re gone. or just ignoring anything you posted and the facts disputing it posted by others.

i appreciate as i’m sure others do, you are ever hopeful that your left are any different to those currently in power, but i’m sure one day you’ll realize they aren’t.

make the most of the 3 years in front of you, dude.
don’t drown yourself hoping for a return to the last couple terms passed.

no matter how you feel about this government, they’re here man.

get living.

CORRUPT

The issue is some people are more concerned with who he has had dinner with than getting this country moving forward, decisions made. The reality is the best thing Ministers can do is meet and talk to industry leaders to achieve some sort of cohesion.
Building those connections over a few decent bottles of wine with a nice dinner is a great way to do it.
Better than the Darleen Tana school of business.

Let’s just hope he didn’t go back to his hotel room and wank all night over porn paid by taxpayers dollars

Not a bad name for a brothel, the gold mine. No wonder the national party have mining in their sights
The last 6 years proved trickle down works. Since we systematically shafted the movers and shakers, it’s no surprise our economy and standard of living has crashed and burned 🤣

Labour successfully reduced inequality by making us all equally poor!

Let’s get back into the good books with the gold miners and gas explorers!

Good to see you’re enjoying this manufactured continuation of a recession provided by the current government. The worldwide dilemma of inflation was trending down nicely when they took office in this country, but instead they put the boot into everyone who can least afford it. Probably not in your circles, but people are doing it really tough at the moment and the areas being addressed aren’t providing any relief

In MaybeTop8's eyes Jones should have been meeting with Greenpeace and activists to discuss mineral mining

I think you mean trickle down clearly DOENT work. Or all the collated wealth at the 1% would be circulating down. We know now that the middle class are the economic engine room of society.

The major problem in NZ is the Reserve Bank. While Adrian Orr is adamant that he won't allow interest rates to drop until he's had 12 months worth of data showing inflation has dropped, other governors of central banks around the world decided that the circumstances COVID caused were extraordinary so the historical response to inflation of considering 12 months of data was wrong and they have dropped their wholesale interest rates on 6 months worth of CPI data.

It's amazing that the RBNZ was one of the first central banks to raise wholesale interest rates but is one of the last to drop them. Other central banks did not go as fast as us or as high as us..... and their inflation has dropped faster, and their economies recovered quicker. We were the world's experiment on how to deal with the aftermath of COVID... and we failed!!!!

The other thing that is grating is that Orr (and Robinson) both said inflation went up, not due to the previous government, but due to COVID and overseas inflation. Overseas inflations effect on NZ is dropping and all COVID restrictions are over, but Orr is "worried" about high internal inflation.... caused by government spending, cheap cash being made available and the over stimulation of the country during the COVID response. Isn't it amazing that internal inflation, which wasn't supposed to be the cause of inflation and interest rates rising is suddenly now such an issue that it's preventing interest rates from falling.

One of the worse things Robinson did while Finance Minister was to give Orr such a large extension to his contract within six months of the election when there is supposed to be an agreement that long term contracts are not issued within that time.

One of the scarcest "solutions" to the current economic woes is when people suggest that instead of reducing government expenditure at the moment, that the government should just blindly borrow more money to stimulate growth in the economy..... exactly the same inflationary steps that have led us to the position the country now finds it's self in.

Highlights how ridiculous it is to borrow money for tax cuts. Whether government wants to say the current cuts they’re making will fund these tax cuts, it will take borrowing in some capacity at some stage in whatever area has been left to fund them so it is going to take borrowing to fund them at some stage. A huge kick in the guts to all those struggling, and providing relief to those that aren’t feeling the struggles that others are and able to sustain it better than others. A pay rise for government too in a time where the country can ill afford, labour showed all it requires is a pay freeze. Interesting watching Collins last week meeting with army and defence and pledging new vehicles, which is probably needed but hard to expect police take on extra duties in policing gang patches when they can’t even get a pay rise they desire. Is this why this gang task force has been birthed? So police don’t receive the pay rise they’re after?

Thanks again for the concern Marv.

All is well and living, always has been, always will be.

Never did like the last two terms passed either, but eyes open, this lot are far worse in my opinion.

And apologies for accidentally turning into the left's (whatever that is, progressive would be more a vanity label) version of the wizard of bethlehem.

I do find it odd there's not more concern about the corruption we're seeing and experiencing, especially from those on the right here, but hey.

It's remiss of me not to stick around and argue, and if I don't do that then maybe I shouldn't post in this forum at least.

On the flip side, it doesn't mean to say I/we/anyone should shut up and just accept things of course.

Now about those warriors....
