Sharks look a bit off their game. Making a lot of errors but they look good when they get it together.
Walker is such a useful player. For the halves if you are struggling to guide your side around the field he comes on and controls the middle. Works the opposition middle over. Then links with the halves.
The 13 role has changed a lot now with some clubs liking to have a passing option in the middle. A lot of the development would have been for the extra go forward big man that has been in favour. Clubs are probably moving some players they had ear marked as a 13 and trying to develop some ball players.
Just had a quick look at the ladder standings after round 8 vs. last round which teams were still in the 8. In 2022 7/8 teams in the 8 were in the 8 in the last round, 5/8 teams in rd 8 2023 were in the 8 at the end of the year and last year 6/8 teams made the 8 at the end.
Funny first half. The Sharks had some good ball in the Eels 20. Got the first try and then were stuck in their half.
The Eels like they said in commentary were looking good in attack. The Sharks defence did stand up to it.

Eels finally get some points playing. A bit gutting for them after finally getting points the Sharks strike back pretty quickly. Nikora runs some great lines. I'd love it if we had Laban and Halasima in a few years on opposite sides running hard like that either into holes or against the grain.
