Walsh is a massive risk taker which ultimately means he can be both a game breaker and a game destroyer. Sadly tonight he is the latter. But I wouldn't be surprised if he goes out there next week and scores a hatrick against the hapless cows next week. Broncos forumers have really short memories, they'll be loving him again this time next week.

So both teams that put 50 on another team lost in round 2... Also damn it feels good! Not only do we win as underdogs, this game also shows that our loss in vegas wasn't to a "avarage" team.

I'm an economist by trade, so I don't like to draw any conclusions until we have a reasonable sample size. Dolphins were topping the comp in the early rounds and were still in the four at the beginning of the origin period last year I believe. Titans were 0 from 6 before showing some good form towards the end of last year. I am by no means understating the Raider's great start to the year- they are my 2nd favorite team actually. But I just don't think we can make evaluations on who are contenders, pretenders, wooden spooners until at least the start of the origin period.

They look pretty good to me, relentless through the middle and with the personnel to sustain it - understand what you're saying but they've got to be the form team until otherwise

it just goes to show that transitivity doesn't apply to the NRL. No two NRL games are the same. If you don't turn up physically, you aren't beating any team in this comp, no matter the previous standing of the teams coming into the match.

But sports isnt a field where you can just wait for more data points to increase the sample size. You get what, 25 games a season? We have already played 8% of our games.

We can’t accurately predict who will win the comp sure, but we can certainly make evaluations on a game by basis.

Not to say those evaluations won’t be wildly inaccurate
