it's 2 games. You can't draw any conclusions. Dolphins looked premiership material this time last year and they missed the 8 completely. This Raiders team isn't that different to the same Raiders team from last year that missed the 8. I'll update my assessment of them if they are still riding high in rds 10-11.
Perhaps you're right, perhaps it means nothing. Still if I was a Raiders fan I think I'd feel pretty encouraged by what I have seen so far. And I think an important difference this year from last in terms of the squad is some of their exciting young talents are starting to hit a little bit of a sweet spot in terms of having built some experience and cohesion while still having some youthful dynamism. The Warriors sides of 23 and 24 weren't that different either but the performances were.

I'm an economist by trade, so I don't like to draw any conclusions until we have a reasonable sample size. Dolphins were topping the comp in the early rounds and were still in the four at the beginning of the origin period last year I believe. Titans were 0 from 6 before showing some good form towards the end of last year. I am by no means understating the Raider's great start to the year- they are my 2nd favorite team actually. But I just don't think we can make evaluations on who are contenders, pretenders, wooden spooners until at least the start of the origin period.

Fair enough, I get what you're saying. They're one of my next favourite teams too.
