Certainly the ref is going to change how he rules 50/50 calls ie giving them to Team B when he gave a couple to Team A earlier.

NRL officials would rather look inept than even remotely look biased. Beats me, personally, but apparantly that's the over-riding approach.

Yeah the Refs control on the game these days is huge.

Tough tor Brandon Smith out for a couple of months on return. Very similar to the tackle on DWZ and Sorensen no penalty in the game. Wonder if Lodge picks up a suspension like Sorensen after the fact? Bennett not impressed

Thought he played really well apart from a couple of mistakes you’d expect on debut. Made a nice break but pass didn’t connect to Drinkwater that would have resulted in a try. Think he’ll do well learning off Mahoney and playing back up, as long as he doesn’t pick up the negative parts of Mahoney
