NRL Round Discussion NRL Round 18, 2024 Discussion

Stupidity from Moses... looked like he hit Arrow high and then Arrow is just pushing away... more likely to concede a penalty if they did have a challenge
Arrow shoved the bloke in the head on the ground, but still dumb from Moses

The NRL have said they will bin players that intentionally give away penalties for the purpose of challenging, and Eels didn't even have any challenges left.

Dumbass Moses.

I'm definitely not suggesting we move RTS to 6 but look at the change in Souths getting Wighton out of the centres and into 6.

The difference was that Souths played direct footy and timed their opportunities to perfection. Koloamatangi in particular led from the front and caused Parramatta so many headaches through the middle and it made life so much easier for Latrell, Wighton, Cook and Walker.

The Eels on the other hand were guilty of trying too hard. They threw 70 more passes, but just couldn't get the ball in the right hands often enough and despite creating opportunities they were guilty of blowing them with poor options.

Some light at the end of the tunnel for the Eels with Talagi and Guymer having some moments. They should look to blood a few more players heading into 2025 and get some value out of this season.

As far as the commentary were concerned there was only four players on the field.
1. Trell
2. Walker
3. Wighton
V
1. Charlie Guymer
Had to mute it with ten to go. The absolute throthing from Vossy and Ennis was sickening.

Voss is so bad these days.

Following his exile, he's lost his balls and become part of the hype machine at Fox that he thinks will help him get world famous through clips that go viral in the US or something

His whole game is based on energy and backing up plays.
Good footballer for sure, though he doesn’t have that sudden acceleration that he can get outside the defenders to create an overlap like he did.

They looked better in attack with Talagai at the back for me.

He’s been very good but it’s not the catalyst for a ‘change in Souths’. Suddenly they’re enthusiastic and working hard in defence. The entire side has adopted a new attitude since learning of Bennett’s impending arrival.

Then you’ve got the Eels who have spent weeks trying to find a new coach, believing it doesn’t affect the players 😂

Yeah Ennis kept going on about Latrell. He had a decent game but it was nothing remarkable. At one point, the Eels dropped the ball and over ran it so the closest player to it was Latrell, he naturally picked it up and Ennis described it as ‘a huge play by Latrell!’

Wait until you hear Ennis go on about Walsh. If Walsh even gets near the ball then it is shumming time from Ennis.
