But making such a huge decision to shift Purdue to 6 and Dearden to 7 in the middle of the season, after neither had trained in those positions during pre-season (according to cows forum), is super risky. Toddy probably knows that his job is on the line if he doesn't make finals, which makes this decision even harder to understand. This is clearly a long term play that will detriment results in the short term. So it's only going to benefit the next coach after him if it ends up paying off.
