I wouldn't be surprised if he signs to go back to the Knights.
When it was announced he was being released it was mentioned about being close to family. The Knights tick that box and they need to strengthen their pack.
It does fit.
His manager will shop him around as that is his job. But the Knights fit the reasoning for him needing to leave in terms of being close to family.

I was distracted by him channeling Gary Oldman in 5th Element with that hair dye job to hear whatever he was talking about
He's also has a lock on the nsw origin middle role and is a proven pack leader. Something both sides are missing. Barney is being sought out by everyone for good reason. Having a couple years left is still very valuable for young middles at these struggling clubs. That's why we brought back JFH back even though he likely only had 1 more contract in him. It wasn't for the direct impact on the field but how he would help mould the next generation.
