Sharks have joined the pursuit of Volkman now. Apparently Kennedy has been told he can look around with them interested in Papenhuyzen too. Manly, eels and sharks in talks with Volkman

I would be looking at getting rid of Kennedy, moving Hynes to FB and re-signing Dan Atkinson to play in the halves with Trindall.

Spot on. Paying Nicho so much to play second fiddle to Trindall at 6 is rough.
Much better to stick him at FB where he can have much more impact.
I’m worried about Nicho though, he looked so bad at the end of the year.
Fitzgibbon must be worried as well with the much cap space taken up.

Does anyone know or listen to the hello sport podcast & have any idea if they have info? I seen they said Roosters want to trade Jazz Tevaga for May which seems completely ridiculous.

Jazz is the same type of style player as cheese (not saying he is anywhere near as good) who is out for half the season but can’t see it being true

Just heard the Sharks are looking at Papz, with it likely that Kennedy and Mulitalo getting shipped off.

Jeeze they'd look pretty decent with Papz, Nico and AFB all there, but man that's a big chunk of change for those 3

Tevaga has a better attitude to Smith. On field though he probably gives away more penalties or has more unforced errors compared to Smith. I haven't looked at any stats just taken that from watching.

Smith when he is fit does do a lot work. His distribution could improve.

The trade talk is interesting. The NRL needs more buy in from the player compared to American sports. Tevaga is probably looking for properties in Manly to get settled. Hang on.

Mind you if the Roosters are after you as a player it is worth a look. The "off field" opportunities and contact you hear about would be good for life after footy. They are also competitive more often than not.

If there’s any truth to that rumour I’d imagine Brandon Smith might have something lined up? I agree they’re similar players, especially with Samoa starting Jazz at hooker. Don’t think he’s going to be able to avoid hooker on his resume as much as he’s tried too before. Roosters have said that Smith won’t be extended past his current deal so I wonder he might link up with Ryles again at the eels?

I know stats aren't everything, but man that's a difficult argument to justify. I've always been a fan of Kennedy though.
Most would agree that Charnz had a poor this year, but here are the stats (per game, not total as Kennedy played way more games than Charnz)

Missed tackles - Charnz (less than Kennedy)
Like breaks - Charnz
Line break assists - Kennedy
Errors - Charnz - (less than Kennedy)
Meters gained - Charnz (almost double Kennedy)
Offloads - Charnz

I really like his speed. He's a underrated defender to. Not scared to put his body on the line.
I love Charnze. But to have Will's speed at the back would be mean. Otherwise, Cnk or rts will do i suppose

It’s like he has lost his pace whilst not ever super quick was pretty decent.
Seems not to be moving as freely either.
Perhaps he should have rested rather than play for the Kiwis but you can’t blame a guy for wanting to rep the country.
Hope he comes right.

Tricky with Brandon Smith because he’s out for a good portion of next season injured. Eels chasing the knights Brailey hard apparently but wouldn’t be surprised to see Smith head there? Could see plenty of teams keen though, perhaps raiders

Big drop in form from CNK, he wasn’t alone though. I wonder if the club could have told him he won’t be extended past his current deal? He hasn’t been one that the club seems to have prioritised
