NRL NRL 2026 General Recruitment Thread

Behind a paywall but like you I wouldn’t mind seeing it too if anyone has access? Not sure if it’s their real values or the journalists view of what they’re worth?
I have code sports, it is waste of time. It is the journalist's opinion of how much each player in your club is really worth and then ranks the teams in terms of who has the most value and who has the worst. Penrith have 14m at the top and Gold Coast 7M at the bottom.

The article is also on in Newscorp newspapers today
Warriors came in at number five
Tbh I didn’t even read it just made up guessing to create a story

Shoosh: Which NRL club has been making plenty of inquiries about luring Joseph Manu back to rugby league? Hint: it’s not the Roosters.

Anyone have access to this article? I think it mentions Joseph Manu, but perhaps not the team inquiring?

Not sure if you posted the wrong link but couldn't find anything in the article related to manu. Actually Googled him and daily telegraph and only articles from 2025 showed up.

This the website I use btw. Hopefully Allgood to post on here.
Just copy paste your link on there

It was from post 293,528 on page 14,677 on tigers forum. The article posted had the shoosh part under it that daily telegraph does and assumed it was out of there? Thanks for looking

The vibe / rumours around the PNG side would suggest that they’ll pick up some decent players for their debut season .
In comparison Perth look to have just got journey men and their season kicks off in 11 months .
The NRL should have given them ( Bears) salary cap dispensation and made sure that their admin was set up to succeed !
Jury is still out on Mal Mengina’s coaching and their CEO who has no real RL exposure .
Meantime , PNG have Peters as coach ( not Winston) and Chammy as their GM.

Grabbing a footy journalist as your GM of football is bold - he has the contacts no doubt.

It's all about the tax free dollars. That is such a massive advantage - 40% incentive. I could live in a resort, for a year or two. I think they will have a bunch of good to decent older players sign on for 1-2 years.

If they can't land some big fish early they should look to shut it down before it kicks off..

Trai Fuller has turned down the dragons. There was talk he wanted 2027 as well as the remainder of 2026. Makes it interesting with Purdue extending at cowboys because there’s rumours of Drinkwater to dragons for 2027 onwards
