Good chance Talakai is about to sign with bears
They are doing a great job. I suggested a while ago I thought if they focus on signing good players and good people, they have a better chance of success and not the media hype of needing on signing a superstar.

I can't believe the reporting of his signing though - he is nowhere near their best signing but is being built up that way by media. I would say he's a handy bench guy, I think he 's not really good enough to be a starting centre or second rower to be honest. Dude built his career on running over our old mate Morgan Harper 4 or 5 years ago.

He's a good Konrad Hurell.

They passed a deal for it a while back
I get that PNG wont tax them but normally when a person works out of the Australia but is a resident, or can reasonably be called one, the ato still requires you to pay taxes on the income, And if they aren’t paying tax in PNG we can only assume the offset won’t be an option for them.

I’ve got no idea of the ins and outs, surely the nrl would be cooperating with the Australian government over what they’ve proposed?

Australia are funding the PNG club as a soft politics initiative.
Part of that all is the tax incentives to the Australian plays so the club is decent.

The other clubs pushed back on it which is a reason why all clubs are getting a cash payment when PNG come in.
