We joke about this. But from watching all the post game interviews, I'd liken Webbys tactics to modern parenting.

Give the players the tools and the knowledge to perform.

Let them police/motivate themselves as theyre the ones that have to make the decisions on the field.

This is why toxic and self absorbed players tend to mess with this sort of strategy.

I think he's nailed the mental aspect. Every player talks about how Webby believes in them and is the first coach to do so.
