NRL NRL 2025 General Recruitment Thread

Eels in balls deep with him now if they weren’t already with his relation already there. He’s gotten rid of his clauses too Mitchell Moses, so it’s well and truly built on the Moses name at the moment
Getting rid of the clauses is an interesting one. Removes some ability to agitate I would have thought?

Douehi is a poor half, so they are getting into self inflicted wound’s territory. There is kind of nothing the tigers can do, pay him to stay at home? Discrimination. Weld him to reserve grade? Only works if his replacement is as good - unlikely.

The kid will get a lot of money from the eels, but hopefully this goes in the first paragraph of his career summary, bit like the DCE backflip.

poor old tigers, sheens must have made a dark pact back in 2005 and now nothing will go right for them for eternity. Remember when Ivan, of all people that nice Ivan Cleary, signed a bunch of washed up players and then fucked off back to Penrith leaving them stuck.

I mean Mitchell Moses has removed the clauses in his contract. He’s on $1.3 million until 2029, and before he could test the market in 2027. Will be interesting to hear what eels offer Galvin?
The other bit I can't quite get my head around is Dylan Brown going to the Knights. Surely he must be rethinking that move. Yet it opened up the potential move for Galvin.

With Justin Matamua from the Tigers getting dropped to the third tier comp, he played against Taniela Otukolo & Zyon Maiu'u yesterday
That is quite disappointing for Zyon Maiu’u - especially looking at the Bulldogs' Cup side, you'd think he'd have earned a bench spot (or at least 18th man). Hope he's doing alright and can earn a spot at the Dogs... or else return home, so we can move Lussick out of prop!

Gotta wonder what they offered him. He was not only at least in our NSW cup side, but he got some games in full grade to start blooding him. While also getting to learn off of some of the best props in the game, at least compared to the bulldogs (AFB, Barney and now Fish). And getting to grow with mates he's close with, as seen by him showing up for our tigers game in the crowd.

I don't know it just seems odd to get an early release. But i hope he is getting what he wants over there at least.

I think it's great for us that Zyon Maiu’u is playing cup in Sydney. He'll be gaining resilience but because he's not getting first grade time, he might want to come home on a low contract.

I think Eels would do well to get Galvin but 6 million for 6 years? Sheesh.

Do you know what happened with Setu.?
i was really surprised to see him in our NSW cup side last game.
Not really. When he signed for the Brisbane Tigers then announced it was a 2 year deal. He was involved with the Storm during preseason as the Tigers (& the Falcons) are affiliated with them. Only one Q Cup appearance in Round 2 where he scores a try then reappears in Auckland a month later
