I’m not convinced on Meninga’s coaching either way

I can see them really struggling. The struggles with recruitment, no nursery & a questionable coach…

Have seen articles in recent days saying Meninga wants salary dispensations to attract players, but apparently other nrl players haven’t been in agreement that they should. PNG probably going to struggle even more? They will really need tax exemptions as floated

Im hoping this could bode well for Niukore's form in 2026.

Would have to be one of the more experienced backrowers coming off contract and wouldn't demand top dollar elsewhere. If he really rips in and has a career year, he could have a more than reasonable contract over there for 3 or so years as one large final pay day.

Hopefully we see him get back to that 2023 form, knocking players over on attack and defence and running great lines

I read that he has a player option that he can activate at 800k but his former manager gets their cut rather than his current one, Cove Agency, because they negotiated it before the split. He had loads of potential but you wouldn't want to pay anymore

Actually seen a video of him playing basketball today and he was killing them- dunking and all- he’s a freak athlete- just needs to find the right environment.

I’ve got a couple of stories about Mals time coaching Canberra but they’re not for a public platform…
I’m sure he’s just there to give them a bit of clout- can’t imagine he’ll be involved with the day to day stuff much.
