Probably the best thing for him to move on from the Warriors.
When he was here it was great having some promising forwards coming through but the coaches we had at the time and the way we were playing he'd likely still be being developed for first grade.
To be fair, it has taken him 67 games over 8 years in FG to get to where he is now. It is great to see him do well, but he is no superstar that hit the ground running as soon as he got to Manly. He is coming into his prime, but his mobility and poor lateral movement meant keeping him would have been a risk in those early days and he has lived on the Sea Eagle's fringes for a few years. Plus he wanted out of Dodge, the club tried to keep him from memory.
