Could be eh.
I was thinking about the partners when someone was talking about how they thought Tanah Boyd would be [paraphrasing] 'happy to take a small upgrade and carry on'.
Like fook that would ever happen. Especially since Tanah's wife was a rising star AFL player before injury ended her career (and has a young boy to raise).
The Boyd's know the realities of pro sport better than most at the Warriors. I am sure his wife Jacqui would have talked with Tanah about how he has progressed under this club and how he is doing mentally and emotionally since getting away from Australia. She certainly would be an informed listener regarding variables like coaching and environments (having been a rising junior netball star who switched codes and played under multiple coaches as a professional - Mrs Boyd played for three different AFL clubs).
Understandable if Lukes Lady wanted to go home, but surely compassionate release would have been a much smoother path to getting out? I dunno, haven't really thought about it too much.
Mr's Boyd is probably main reason Tanah moved overseas (she moved to South Australia from QLD to play) I am guessing she is a powerful ally in how Boyd got here and decided to stay in NSW cup when an NRL offer was the alternative.
