Pomps was shifted beside Dallin with 15 to go.To be fair to Dallin who had a shocker, they had a halftime talk and we pretty much shut them down in the second half? Much better jamming Knights did try repeatedly on that edge. Think coach or Webby said to be aggressive in the 2nd half, he was in no man’s land in the first half. Maybe cape had a sore knee and sore throat. Was TMM playing left centre at the end? Hope they sort it out because next man up is Kosi who’s gonna do the same thing![]()
Is it an Atlas inspired celebration?Hating that shhhhh celebration
This. My partner doesn’t watch much league & she could see it too. We absolutely dominated them the first 20, and set up camp in their 20m. When the ref called a best knock on (which it wasn’t), I just knew he’d swing momentum to make up for it. From that point on til the end of the half, the knights got every single call go their way & they dominated.I hate ref bagging but Atkins was in full management mode.
- We were hammering them on their line that first 10-15mins but they were sleeping in the ruck it was hard to get a quick PTB to work attack off. Gagai then walks 2m off the mark through the markers and we get penalised for markers not being square. That was a complete momentum shift from that call. The fact they didn't have someone on the bin and only maybe one six again call during that period was silly.
- Bunker slowing down Egan's try frame by frame and saying there's no momentum, honestly farcical when you show it at full speed.
- Marzhew's arm didn't hit the ground no. But he is stopped not moving and Taine is on him, that is held every day of the week.
@Pop Dukez.... be afraid.... be very afraid!!!!Not you. I loveyou
Worth remembering that both Egan's no try, and Marzheu's (spelling?) pass, if they had been called the other way would have been quite uncontroversial. That's an 8-12 point swing.Cheer up man.
We played heaps better in the second half, we shut down their amazing left edge strike, we made good meters, controlled the game.
We deserved to win you eggs. That is what good teams do, correct a bad start and go on and win anyway they can....which is often a freak play or player breaking the minnows heart.
100% - it was just one of those nights and his goal kicking kept us in the game up until that last 10 minutes. The thing I actually liked the most (aside from the freakish play of Leka), was they kept going back to Boyd for the field goals, despite missing 2. He wanted the third one & he wanted the goal kick to win it. He is our 7, we have to back him.
He actually played really well with his long kicking game, and short into the in goal for repeat sets. Hes also only 2 games into his warriors career, he needs time. All the fundamentals are there for him, and he’s a far better goal kicker than Metcalf, just unlucky with the field goal attempts. Webby & the squad will get around him. He hasn’t had to deal with that level of pressure in probably 2 years, and he will be in 7 in the finals.
Can still bag the refs?
Yeah pressure got to him defYeah Boyd had the old choker syndrome in the last 10 minutes
Missed two field goals - one directly in front with zero challengers on the 3rd tackle
Kicked the ball dead at kick off
Missed a penalty directly in front which should have won us the game
Got his 3rd FG attempt charged down ……
CHT must be so happy he wasn’t on kicking duties tonight!!!
Metcalf had the clutch gene
SJ the clutch gene
It seems Boyd might have what CHT suffers from
