I struggle to see Cleary as a Warrior.

He is just a Reece Walsh passing through future star for his home club in my eyes.

That said, you never know, but I think I know why he is here. His father wisely avoided his two sons competing directly with one another - Sofie's choice, an impossible position to be in.

That said, when Ivan moves, or retires, or Nathan moves or quits, then Jett will be gone on the next Compassionate flight out of NZ.

This is how I see it too. Plus Ivan's connections with the club, Webby, etc. Seemed like the best place to send him that wasn't keeping him at the Panthers for his development.

It felt like this as soon as he signed TBH, might have to look back at the media reports but it almost seemed hinted back then too.

I think Jett will become hot property in the NRL and be offered good money off the bat by many clubs. The Warriors and Panthers clearly have the inside running on him. Jett was born here and was a Warriors ball boy. Now he has been a feature in the NSW cup and his development has jumped because of the time put into him here and the complimentary player skill sets we have here too. He has formed close relationships with the next generation of Warriors superstars coming through for the last few years.

What Nathan Cleary had with Kikau, Luai, To'o, Yeo, Martin, Edwards - Well Jett will have with Leiataua, Halasima, Vaimauga, Healey, Laban, B.Neal, Lemana, Kali, Tafua, Salalio, Norris, Ratcliffe, Vake, Tauafiafi-Iutoi etc

What would the opportunity cost of that be if he missed it?

He will be given the keys to the Warriors machine soon. He would almost be foolish even stupid to walk away from that.

The Warriors are entering a golden period - he and his Dad will both know that.

The danger IMO is not Jett choosing to leave, its that we don't want him or see a fit for him.

I have him in the 18 - 24 months development window to be an NRL READY playmaker.

Take BOYD on 2 to 3 year contract and have Jett fill in on injuries etc - He will develop quickly!

Jett may have a very good NRL career ahead of him but if they weren't brothers, they wouldn't be in the same conversation in terms of career trajectory

Seriously this time. I don't predict that he WILL. More that IF he does reach such levels it would take such time.

*Edit. He may actually get better than Nathan due to Nathan having navigated the highs and lows already. All conjecture on my part

The discourse on Jett is interesting it feels like people either love/hate him due to his last name I don’t think he’ll reach Nathan’s heights that’s very rare but I think he can still be a good player in the NRL albeit like a Matty/Joey dynamic
