Smart idea from Ivan. Coaching Nathan, he's had a charmed run that can't be replicated. He's never needed to consider dropping him due to form & the only "controversy" when coaching him was a TikTok video during the Covid restrictions. Sticking around to try & coach Jett would be tempting fate

Might be a stretch but wouldn't rule it out. When was the last time we saw a coach announce his departure on his own terms 18 month out, with a ready made succession plan in place? I just like the way they're going about it, and our own coach is a product of that same environment.

Getting away from the day to day grind of NRL coaching and into another role will give him a lot more time.

I can see him spending more time here in NZ. A lot more time to come over and visit Jett.
