Individual errors fucked us today.
A baaaad miss by Charnz cost us 6.
A terrible defensive read by Kosi cost us 6.
A freakish try when we're on attack with a great bat back by Charnz cost us 6.

We actually played better than them all game really. We just duffed a few things that cost us 18 points at the start of the game.

I agree
We were the better team
They got some lucky tries
And a tin arse drop goal from SOS

Kicking fucked us again.

This was pretty gutting like the Bulldogs game. Losing in golden point always is.

Like the Bulldogs game it had the feeling like we'd miss a lot of field goal opportunities. If they got another chance they had a better field goal kicker than we had on the field. The Bulldogs it was Burton. Today I was expecting Jamayne Isaako if he got a second chance. Instead we got beaten by a drop kick out wide by Sean O'Sullivan. I would write an ugly drop kick but it looked a bit better on replay.

Like when Johnson was playing at the Sharks. We got a glimpse of life without him. Johnson can ice those moments and last year we were getting the advantage of it. I'd love to know how many field goals CHT has missed in close games.

He took the tackle a bit rather than forcing a pass to players being swamped by defence. The opposite of what CNK tried to do ball playing to Niukore. Not sure how you get going in to his shell when times are tough after that game? Pretty much did all he could to drag us to a victory IMO
Twice we had an overlap when he decided on the "Safer" option. CHT apart from the drop goal attempts did alot more in my opinion. That try he set up for Sifaklua was awesome.

I went out for a walk when they went up 26 - 12. It's too dispiriting at the moment.

& Just came home to that score... Please tell me the missed conversions were hard.

and I missed Demtric's first try... fmd

Much happier with our effort. Been a couple of games where we looked like we couldn't be arsed but not this game. Got to feel for CHT as at the start of the season he was our 4th choice half and here he is expected to ice the game for us. Something for us to build on for next year. At least we can stop hearing about a mathematical chance of the finals. We all knew we were not going to make it.

Entertaining game despite the result and the parts where we were shit - boys showed spirit even though the polish often wasn't there.

Kosi repeatedly flying in off his man and completely missing him was doing my head in first half.

Demetric looked like a beast with ball in hand, excited to see more of him in first grade. I'm not sure his defense wasn't a bit lazy in that last Dolphins try though (need to see another replay). For those wondering why he was subbed for Ale towards thtend maybe Webby was going for better defence to keep the phins pinned in their own end?

Some shit calls against us from the ref but funnily enough I felt like he also let our guys lie in the ruck a bit - I kept thinking we were going to get pinged for it but it never happened.

It's been said a million times but if only we had a clutch field goal/conversion kicker.

I put the loss 100% on CHT.
Specifically because he put up his hand during golden point to take our drop kick when he must have known he is out of form as a kicker. He has never been able to kick drop goals for that matter at any stage of his career. TMM should have taken the drop kick.
All the other mistakes we made were random mistakes you see in any NRL match.
He is good player at tackling and passing but during the second half he should have been pulled as our kicker and should never take any type of field goal or conversion or penalty kick again in his career for any team.

As much as it was an exciting game with the come back. It was also frustrating and was a good indication of our season.

The stat at the start with the tackles in the opposition. Shows we have good go forward but our attack isn't great. They get down the field and score, sure off a kick. Then manage to score from long range which highlights our lack of speed and creating space.

We started the comeback but then let in a try which made the job a lot harder. Sure that side was re-shuffled with Leiataua off. But like the rest of the season our defence isn't holding for long periods.

FUCK the WAHS have to be the dumbest managed pro team in the world .. NRL toughest comp in the world ...players than can kick the ball yeah na don't need them ...keep the faith fuckers... if this is the STUPIDLY going forward we won;t make the 8 for many more seasons
Then you can jump on the bandwagon when we're winning, come on back🫴

Sifakula was subbed (8) seconds after the lazy no attempt at the tackle that led to the try. It was a hook, because that shit is Webby's kryptonite, and Sifa will be done for a while I think (which is a crying shame, because he is awesome). 4 runs, 5 tackles and 12 minutes is not long enough for the fatigue to set in to cause that brain fade.

In response to an earlier poster - Ale subbed off for Jazz in the last minute in anticipation of golden point I'd assume. I'd guess for kick pressure.

Wow! A whole two times! And I'm talking about CNK pass. I get people might not like TMM for whatever reason but it's a bit left field to suggest after this game that he goes in to his shell when times are tough. We were down and out. CHT had a great move and offload for Sifakula's try. TMM was involved in virtually everything else - try, 3 try assists, 2 line break assists.
