Just finished watching a replay and I don't care if we win by 1 point each game except the heart might have something to say bout that. The guys are going so well.A win at home over the Raiders would top off a great last few weeks.I thought DWZs performance is a long way short of his best.Maybe father time is giving him a hint we shall see.

And seconds away from a last minute loss. The joy of being a Warriors supporter 🤣
What happened on the last play exactly Wizards (or anybody) Their winger had a play on the ball and kicked it into touch with an air swing. Was CNK covering and their to make the tackle or did the winger have a clear run to the line if he executed the kick better?

If we let any team score 42 points, we’ll struggle to win. Defence wins games more than attack in my view but attack will get better with cohesion to combinations, we’ve had plenty of injuries in the backline to hinder combinations
I still think CHT is not offering enough on attack
Sure he can defend
However you watch every time on 5th tackle
What he does
Bombs away
Against good teams
Won’t be enough
Look at Cronulla Storm game
Hundreds of tries
No one will convince me Good D beats attacking teams

He's playing to the game plan prescribed by the coach. Not sure a criticism of CHT is warranted here

Only the 12th best attack though which is a worry
I'm OK with the way AW is building this team. We have struggled for years to hold teams out for repeat sets on defence and I think that's been the priority so far this year. Players have been put in place with a plan in mind and they are learning their roles well.
Attack will come when players become available. I don’t believe the plan is to win the competition this year. Metcalf is learning his role and he's being given the room to do it. It's a shame Leaiatua and Berry been out because I think they're part of the same plan. We are stuck with our wings until the end of their contracts and I'm sure there is a plan for their replacement. And a fullback too
I'm honestly enjoying what I'm seeing this year. Obviously winning helps but for the first time in many years I believe we have a plan that goes beyond the next game. And we have the some of the key people on the management team to make sure the plan is working.

On last night I felt that we were lucky to win. We defended well but they were 2 tiny knock ons away from 2 tries. And the RTS knock on should have been an offside penalty to the Dolphins not a try to us. That's 12 to 18 points.
I hate 6 agains. There needs to be an explanation every time one is given. Even if the game stops for a few seconds. Yes some are obvious but so many seem to be discretionary. I'm sure a few replays for everyone to see in the stoppage would cut down the square ups.
And am I the only one dirty on JFH after last night?I thought he was over the top with his aggressive attitude with the Dolphins players. It's easy to be a tough guy when no one can smack you in the head. I can't remember too many big moments on defence or hard charging runs to back it up. Apart from the shoulder charge at the end. And that was just dumb play. The game was at a critical point with the Dolphins getting some momentum and he gave away a penalty. He also leaves himself open to being suspended while our top forwards are on Origin duty. Kind of reminds me of the knuckle headed thugs we used to have. I hope Webster has a word. Or two and gets him settled down. There's a difference between dominant and being a bully

His short kicking game was pinpoint, really impressed by him personally, not to say there’s not work ons. I agree with John Nick of being in a good place and attack will continue to develop

Marata in career best form. It’s frustrating though, like where was this when you were on a massive wicket the last 3 years? Just so happens he’s off contract & playing out of his skin. I’d re sign him but a hugely decreased salary for his lack of output the last few years. His last month has been immense though, as a damaging bench middle & strike edge, which is what we purchased him for years ago
He's in Warriors career best form. Hes not even the best backrower in the team, but hes much improved from his insipid displays of last year and the opening month

What will be really interesting is when we have to claw back a 2 try lead.

And thats only happened in the Vegas and Storm games.

We're definitely a front runner team, get out to a lead and defend like hell to keep it. Doubtful wether we have the strike to peg back a considerable lead so its important we're switched on from the kick off.

Mighty as our defence has been, at some point a teams going to get the early jump on us. Really interested to see what that does to our mindset.

Yes.

His shot was perfect, initial contact right into the ball. It was the whiplash that carried the head to contact. Fish is an absolute pest in every tackle. He flops, he spins, he traps the arm, he gives facials. And he very rarely gets pinged for any of it. Absolute maestro at controlling the ruck.

An in form edge Marata will definitely help the attack over all.

It just shortens up that defensive line which provides space out wide, and if youve got him and Leka doing that either side opens up your attacking options tenfold.

That said tho id have to see Marata putting last night displays out on a lot more regular basis before id lock that in. They did tend to run shape better on that right edge, left hand side not so much

I think Erin was on the same page as JFH.
They cant help it.
Erin is a Rewa boy or at least played for the Marlins.
JFH is from KohuKohu -yeah dont mess with the tough guy from KohuKohu.

2023 we were a team that like to chase a score and it’s only in recent times that opponents haven’t scored first against us. I was often commenting that it was something we needed to address our slow starts. I’ve also made comments in the last year or so of there being a same identity right through our age groups, especially nsw cup of a never say die attitude. Why I’ve often mentioned David Tangata Toa and what he’s instilled in that team. Some amazing chases against the sharks over the last couple of years, but those were often driven by SJ, so you’re right it will be interesting to see the mentality when it occurs
