Pick Your Team Dolphins v Warriors - [Round 11, 2025]

We really need JFH and RTS back for this one. DWZ has a rusty first game back, but that's to be expected when you've been on the sidelines for 10 weeks. Assuming Bunty and Ford are out. I think this is what webby goes for:

1. CNK
2. DWZ
3. RTS
4. Pomps
5. TT
6. CHT
7. LM
8. JFH
9. Egan
10. Barney
11. Capes
12. Leka
13. Erin
14. Marata
15. Demi
16. Laban
17. Healey

Seems like the reason for dropping Healey was the lack of back cover in the dragons game. Since we have Capes as the back cover here, Webby goes back to using Healey as the straight swap for Egan during the second half.

Given the injury toll, this isn't such a bad looking team. More than capable of beating the dolphins.

This has been a super tough few weeks on the road, including anzac day! And again next week, another trip to brissy.

You could forgive them if they slipped one next week. I heard the staff are all a bit jaded and are looking forward to being back home.

Bring on that Raiders game!

1 C N Klokstad
2 D W Zelezniak
3 K Capewell
4 A Pompey
5 R T Sheck
6 C H Tavita
7 L Metcalf
8 J F Harris
9 W Egan
10 M Barnett
11 L Halasima
12 M Niukore
13 E Clark

14 F Lussick
15 D Vaimauga
16 T Ale
17 J Laban

18 T S Smith

Lussick can cover Egan and clark at a pinch. Laban to defend with Capewell on that right edge.

T S Smith for a debut and bring another lift into the joint?

Have they ever done that before?
They have tried everything over the years to try and fix their travel woes.

When they did do it I don't think it was every double away trip that season maybe just once or twice. Typically they'd want them in the normal routine. Own house, with family etc.

The last few years playing in Australia hasn't been as much of a drop off compared to home.

If we played in Australia one week and then the following week we played in Townsville. Or in a few years Perth. Then it might be the ideal time to stay in Australia. You still get the longer flights on the way home though.

Dolphins possess excellent speed in the outside backs. Expect another massive test for our makeshift team.
Yeah, it's why I think we can't have Capes in the centres this week. Against slower centres it's ok but Farnsworth will destroy Capes I think. This will hopefully allow Healy to be in the team.

I think we dominate them through the middle though and their edge forwards aren't as scary as Dragons.

Kodi is playing great footy, he's the one that really needs to be contained.

Just one last push on the road. It would do the boys confidence a world of good if we jagged three straight on the road. We are already 3/4 in Australia this year. JFH coming back won't allow the boys to use injuries as an excuse to slack off for this one. Dolphins also come into this game with a mountain of injuries in the forwards and they are yet to have a bye. As bad as our injury toll is atm, it is nowhere near some other teams like Souths.

Some people talking up the dolphins, they have won 1 of the last 3 and that was against the Eels.

Not a banana skin game. The only reason we would lose is we’re looking pretty fatigued.
It's all relative. Looks like Dolphins might be just as fatigued and just as injury riddled. They are missing big names in the middle such as Plath, Saifiti, Flagler, etc. They are also yet to have a bye.

JMK didn't play this round either.

Dolphins have the most dangerous centre combo + fullback. DWZ quick jams probably work in this game even though I hate the jam.

we certainly shouldn't take them lightly and I agree they have some serious pace in their side which is something that troubles us. But we have a clear edge in the forwards which is their biggest weakness imo. Just need to follow the Roosters gameplan of bashing them up the middle which is all they did. Nothing extravagant in their attack as most their tries came through the middle. Last two losses they've been blown apart by bigger forward packs in the Roosters and Canberra.
