Those first two penalties against us were total BS as well. Laban “working the neck” and one other I don’t remember now.
Yeah first 5 mins and when they scored had that real “Fk here we go again. BS calls, grubby play by the opposition and bounce of the ball not going our way”

HT 6-6 felt like it was going to a a hard grind to the finish

40-6 FT????

GTFOH. 😂

That’s a lovely compliment Wrighty, I do what Boyd does. You and I were a bit rough on Ford in the past, what do you make of his form?
I have been all over Ford before. Wanted him dropped and given a one way ticket to Timbucktoo (spellng?) My comment to post on this website that went through my mind while watching him in both games this season was
"Who is this Jackson Ford guy? Never seen him before. Where did he come from?"

What do you make of Ford's form?

You were one of his biggest critics

With Extreme prejudice

Glad you’re owing it

Ford has improved his individual KPI's and they happened to be what the forum criticisms were. Because of his improvements he is in hot form.

Personally I think he is stepping into the space that Barney occupied. Starting prop. And he has tightened up his loose nuts and bolts to be arguably the form prop of the competition at this early point of the season. I haven't kept up with the other winning teams such as Penrith and Melbourne to be able to really measure Fordy against their bookends.

Very impressed with him. Very impressed how we’re following Webster’s direction and not taking our foot off their throats. Only thing I’m nervous about is peaking too early, but think we’ve still got a lot of improvement too and players in different positions coming back that are very handy if required

4) Interesting factoid for those who are nerdy like me. Boyd signs autographs with his left hand but is right footed. People who are left handed are more intelligent and more creative and quite often ambidextrous with talents like Boyd ie right footed kicker.
Same here. Writing, throwing anything, Left.

Kicking, swing a bat/golf club, throwing hands, shooting a 3ptr, Right.

TB is sort of growing on me and he looks comfortable.

Thanks Wrighty!

I think
a) the competition for spots will stop us going stale and peaking and falling away. Decisions like whether we keep Muss around this year are insidiously important for various intangible reasons (i hope we keep Jake the Muss is what I am saying and don't give him an early release).
b) An extension of point A the general depth we have will see people coming through into the team and being hungry for their limited chances and their enthusiasm will amp everyone. Eg Gannon will be bouncing off the walls when he finally gets his chance.

Love your posts, as per usual.

A little tidbit for ya; NRL.com has us having two offloads on Friday night.

I could swear it was more. But that's apparently the go.

Ya only 2 due to the weather and 1 of them from Erin lead to Leka try and he had the bold bro pass to Ford on top of Ronaldo try assist 🙀

I think it’s just the clutch “offloads” making it look like we’re doing it a lot, credit to the coaching for them to pick the right moment to throw it around, maybe 3 years of robot football education unleashed their elite awareness?
