That mullet bloke who knocked Chitty out was sat square on his posterior when Leka ran right through him for his 2nd try. Gosh he made it look easy 👀
Shows the strength the strength of Halasima because that guys a mongrel. Most of the brothers are pretty handy too. Zac Hosking got met with some big shots and looked disheartened every time he got the ball

Yeah Luke Lewis was commenting about how even in the dying minutes the pack and the defence were still hunting.

What I loved most is it was all the skills. Soft hands in the wet for the rainbow pass. Big left foot step so good he put a back on their back, pure strength for the fend, then silky footwork to beat defenders in traffic with a guy hanging off him. Still has to contort and control the ball one handed for the put down.

So the internet is moaning about score blowouts and attributing it to the increase of six agains and how they are a massive fatigue source and there are your gajillion tries.

Because we're winning I couldn't give a rats donkey but is there any merit in that opinion to y'all?

He doesnt really score run of the mill standard tries does he.

There's normally something amazeballs he's done when he's dotted down.

Tbh tho i was probably more happy with the 80 minute work rate graft that didnt stand out - 35 tackles only 2 misses (2nd most tackles), working hard off the ball in that defensive line filling gaps, 14 hit ups 117 metres....just all the non sexy stuff.

I mean he's still got things to improve on but yeah.....that try was pretty special.

Certainly an unbelievable talent and could end up being one of the greats of the game
Seems to enjoy every moment and pretty level headed
Hopefully nothing changes with the issues of our time

Don't cheat and you won't concede a six again is what it comes down to. The game became quite a hard watch when offsides and ruck infringements were going unpunished because players knew the refs were not going to stop the game to award 30 penalties.

Yeah when he got the ball from Healey for his second try, the defence had numbered up well. But Leka can beat four blokes. Sheesh.

Mick Ennis's comment "WOW!!!" "MY GOODNESS. MY GOODNESS. THIS IS GANA LOOK EVEN BETTER ON THE REPLAY"

Dallin gets a lot of hate on here but overall we are lucky to have the guy.
Sure he makes the occasional misread but also scores amazing tries that not many others would score, but is his off field Mana that really compliments this team. Any excuse to get out the guitar and have a singalong, lead the after match victory song and just the general encouragement he gives the young guys. Yes I'm a fan boi.

I think there's some validity to that, but I also noticed that the NRL website took 36 hrs to move us up the ladder. In fact they cheekily put Melbourne up there even though they only played 'after' the Warriors. It's like they didn't want us to see our team at the top even momentarily.

Cant deny he is 100% committed to the game and the club

That's one way of looking at it. Another way is to go back to the professional foul rule and send a player off for 3rd and subsequent infringements within the 20. They'll soon stop. But they want as much star power as possible on the field, so they moved away from that.

Hence you can have a gang fight, Kung fu someone in the head in Origin and get away with a slap on the hand.

There's no conspiracy man, it was probably just an NRL interns oversight.

In my opinion, tactical penalties have been a blight of the game for ages. The six agains kind of fed into this and made it worse as the consequences aren't all that bad, for a defensively trained and fitter side (Penrith being a prime example).

Commit your penalties early, while your energy is there, wear the other team out by bouncing their attacks, and enjoy more lenient attacking play for the rest of the game.

It seems like the refs may have cottoned on to this and opted to discard any negative optics around 'uneven penalty counts', in favour of more discipline.

In this context, I'm okay with it.

Another pleasing aspect of the win is the number of graduates from the 2025 all conquering state championship side: Healey, Tanwah, TSS, TT, Ali. I guess we can also count Leka, Demi and Laban as earlier graduates of our development sides as well. It's starting to mirror what Penrith had for years where graduates from their pathways (Fish included) all moved up to first grade together. That bond is arguably what made them such a devastating group both at Penrith and for the future clubs that they would move to (Fish for us and Crighton for Dogs). The fact that we are starting to replicate it here is hopefully a sign of the warriors dynasty we've all been dreaming about for years.

Out of that group, Halasima and TSS come from the first year we resumed SG Ball in '23. Leiataua (SG 2020), Laban & Vaimauga did their time in Redcliffe though.
Plenty more to come through with a sprinkling of carefully picked older imports like TT, Boyd & Healey
