🤖 Thread Summary

This was a Warriors game day thread for a major preliminary final between the Warriors and Brisbane Broncos, marking the Warriors' first finals appearance of this magnitude in over a decade. Beastmode #12279 and other fans expressed intense excitement and support with rallying cries of "Up the Wahs," Hatchet Harry #12293 reflected on how the team had already achieved so much by capturing New Zealand's hearts and going global with their fanbase. The pre-game atmosphere was electric, with fans acknowledging this was the biggest game in years while expressing cautious optimism about their chances against the favored Broncos.

The discussion revealed deep emotional investment from long-term supporters who had endured years of disappointment. Warriorshopeful #12283 analyzed tactical advantages, believing their experienced players and reliable style could overcome Brisbane's faster but error-prone approach, Makasene #12316 emphasized the 12-year wait to reach this stage. The community spirit was evident with fans gathering at venues, wearing jerseys proudly, and experiencing widespread public support with random "Up the Wahs" shouts from strangers, wizard of Tauranga #12402 experienced on the Gold Coast.

Once the game began, the thread transformed into a live commentary filled with frustration over officiating decisions. Multiple controversial calls, particularly a disputed forward pass try that fans felt changed the game's momentum, dominated the discussion. Bluecat #13152 and other supporters expressed outrage at what they perceived as unfair refereeing that denied them a legitimate chance, KPWarrior #13170 acknowledged that despite the officiating issues, the team still wasn't quite good enough but was progressing in the right direction.

The final sentiment was bittersweet - intense pride in the season's achievements mixed with disappointment at how it ended. Iridescent #13157 maintained pride despite the loss, Bruce #13195 felt the scoreline didn't reflect the true contest due to poor officiating. 1995warriorsfan #13247 acknowledging "it wasn't our day" and directing discussion to continue in the post-match thread, encapsulating a season that exceeded expectations but ended in heartbreak.

Oddly calm and quetily confident of delicious little win.

It's soooo strange....me too. Not even confident of the win, just confident that were going to do well.

If we play well, and Broncos blow us out of the water I honestly don't think I'll be mad, but I really can't help this feeling that if we play well - and I think we're gunna - that were going to be pleasantly surprised come midnight

I would like to just thank all the rest of you fans who are posting as the comments from all of us are Outer space high. The hope and enthusiasm for the game is what keeps us going. The boys will give it their all for us tonight.Enjoy the night ahead everyone.Right better open my first beer now to calm the nerves.

We were super impress smashing the Knights and Penrith were decent enough but nothing special beating the worst Melbourne team in years.
I think we are over our dip period which every team has in a long season.
We have everyone to choose from bar Metcalf and Sifakula.
We repeat last week, SJ fitter, TMM and Jazz more miles on the clock.
I dont think Brisbane can stay with us for 80.
Warriors by 14.
Got the booze ready.
Got a big day of reffing tomorrow at the Tamariki tournament so might have to wear a Covid mask so not to breathe alcohol fumes over the kids.

I finish work at 630pm, then have to head out to get the snacks sorted for the game....what's everyone's go to snacks for such a crunch game?

Also, who's starting the beers early, who's waiting til the game starts? What's the haps guys I have an hour and a half until freedom
Put the bbq on and have beers chilling. It's taking an age to get to kickoff.

Feel stangely calm today, mind you I felt that last week up until about kick off. But this week just feels a bit different.

I just wanted us to win one finals game this season once we were assured a top four spot, and we achieved that in stunning fashion last week.

This week we are playing with house money, anything from here on just feels like jam on top of the creme donut that has been this amazing season.

We are heavy underdogs, but I don't struggle to see a path to victory as I did against Penrith in week one. Have the Donkeys had a great year? Absolutely, but the back to back premiers they are not. We are every chance an upset tonight if we turn up switched on for 80 minutes.

There will be a heavy contingent of Warriors fans there tonight maybe 15k possibly even 20k depending on how the tickets were released. If we are in this up to our eye balls they will be absolutely heaving, you can bet your bottom dollar you will hear an almighty Warriors chant.
Just the thought of that is giving me goosebumps.

All those going to the game, hope you have a stunner time regardless of the result. Packed out Suncorp watching the Warriors live, it doesn't get much better in this sport for mine.
