Pick Your Team Broncos v Warriors - [Round 17, 2025]

Interesting most are picking Bunty over Ale. Buntys got experience, but Ale’s easily been the best prop in cup and arguably the 2 young fullas Salalilo and Crosby offer more than bunty barring experience.
I think mostly Webby hasn’t really given us any indication he thinks Ale is a FG player. If he was gonna have a shot he would have been chosen already and realistically we mostly pick people that have a chance of coming in

Crosby has hardly started in cup yet, he comes off the bench whether or not he is going to assume that role in 1st grade or not, but he still needs a bit more cup time before he comes in imo.

4 A Pompey
5 R T Sheck
6 C H Tavita
7 L Metcalf / Boyd

16 D Vaimauga
17 T S Smith

18th T Boyd

Ed Kosi: Deserves another go after losing DWZ. Ahead of Tuaupiki on the wing for me.

T Ale: I think we lose Niukore, but i would like to see Ale do the first shift before Ford comes on then he can Back Up back row and front row in a second stint.

The fact they won't pick him this season suggest coach thinks he's a liability so is that's the case I guess bunty could come in?

S Healey: We desperately need spark from our bench and we could get that from Healey more so than Martin.

Imo Ford has looked best this year coming off the bench, after 20 or 30 minutes and seems to offer a spark with his leg drive and quick play the balls.

I feel that's lost a little bit when he starts during the opening stanza, he doesn't seem to have the ability to make a dent against a teams starting pack when they're fresh.

I agree, maybe Ale or Bunty (if fit) to take the initial sting out, with Ford coming on later.

It sucks we've had an injury in the backs as that probably means TMM remains on the bench, but if Rocco and Capewell are back, then for me that would be enough cover for the backs with everyone else able to shift out one and Capewell into centre if there's any injuries.

A bench of:
Healey
Ford
Demi
Leka

Offers so much from that 30 minutes mark. I doubt Webby will go with that tho

We’re probably going to need a bit more size in the middle, considering Brisbane have seemingly gone back to the “3 prop” thing With Haas, Jensen and Carrigan. Also moving Willison back to the bench for impact.
I feel Bunty will handle the initial 20 minutes with a 10-15 minute cameo in the second half.

8. JFH
9. Egan
10. Bunty
11. Capewell
12. Halasima/Laban
13. Clark

14. Healy (I know he’ll probably pick TMM)
15. Ford
16. Vaimauga
17. Laban/Halasima

Don’t really care who starts out of Halasima and Laban

Taufa can't play agains the broncos.

Was there any word on potential injury to Laban? Not on the official casualty list, but seemed to be limping quite heavily in the second half after he got limbo'd in a group tackle and didn't seem to be mentioned in any of the post-game articles I read.

We need to work out how to play against teams that aim at our heads or hip drops eh, Raiders and Panthers both playing dirty, probably using certain players to do the hit jobs
