Team List Brisbane Broncos v NZ Warriors - [Round 11, 2026]

Smash Mam and Reynolds. Mam is an absolute pretender and Reyno is playing a year more than he should have. That will leave Walsh and we just have to hope he doesn't have one of his jesus games.
Yep. We'll need to deal with the noise and focus on producing for this important game. I think we will. Fish has a good way of getting the team in a focused state. Looking forward to this one. Middles and edges to shut down their distribution please.

Who the heck decided Klein gets the man in the middle job in our game and Gee the bunker position

The saving grace is probably the neutral crowd will be on our side and they don't want to be seen as biased in the marquee match of the magic round, Jason Paris and his X on standby lol

On paper our pack owns them. Our completion rate alone should win. Therefore watch for Broncos to disrupt our PTBs and try to get in our faces. It's the only way they can get close. Or if we turn up with no discipline or intensity. Otherwise their linespeed tends to suck without Haas.

Those tipping Brisbane in this game are really only doing so on vibes. Reynolds back and all their players wanting to play well before origin teams being announced and the distraction of the mets issues.

But the fundamentals of the game still massively favor us for this game. Brisbane have massively lost the territory battle in all 4 games without Haas (Tigers, Dogs, Roosters, Manly). In the first 2 of those games, they were saved by Reynolds and the x-factor in the backline.
In the last 2 without that x-factor (Staggs, Mariner, etc), that forward dominance has been converted into 13+ losses for them.

If this pack struggled so much against Manly's undersized pack, they will be in a world of hurt against us. They may get the jump on us at the beginning due to the occasion and us being a bit rusty coming off the bye. But I expect us to gradually wear them down as we have the stronger middle rotation, starting and off the bench. The broncos commit the 2nd most errors and give away the most penalties in the league, so they do tend to lose the plot and have brain snaps when they lose momentum. We just have to be patient and wait for those opportunities to present themselves by grinding away through the middle.

Huge challenge for Boyd to stand up in a big match here. Many of us have questioned how he performs under pressure and how clutch he is relative to mets. Here is his chance to prove to the league that we were right to choose him over mets. If he does, and the boys in the middle have his back all night, I am very confident we come away with a strong win here.

Going to be a tough game but if there ever was a time to play the Broncos in Brisbane, it is now. It will be 10X tougher in 2 months time when we come back to play them at full strength. Wahs 13+.
