this is a huge game for Tannah

SOO jersey is up for grabs

For him to play well forwards need to dominate and we need to make a big statement against the horse

Got to feel for LM

Hope he wakes up and realises #7 is Nathan Cleary for many years to come but that #6 NSW Jersey… 🤔

As much as having to perform for his Rugby league life is driving Tanah, I do hope he finds a settled medium with less pressure.

Perhaps this is why CHT is playing so freely and expansively, taking his chances, throwing cut out passes with abandon, coz he feels no pressure to keep his job at Mt Smart?

I think the last piece for Boyd is composure and security in that role. Which may help his goal kicking issues too.

Boyd seemed pretty high on confidence before Metcalf's return, it was like he had compartmentalized the off field stuff, put last years games behind him, and was just going for it.

After the Metcalf pressure came on, Tanah looked more uptight. I dunno, this is all subjective, but I would like to see him adopt that attitude players like Metcalf and Reece Walsh have, where when things are going wrong, or stuff they try tanks, they look like they don't give a shit, onto to the next play.
Tanah is quite a serious intense little guy, I want to see him having fun out there too.

I think you are correct about him appearing uptight Sup. However, in NSW cup last year he was anything but up-tight. That showed up in his goalkicking efforts too. He's a very good player and a natural 7 when he believes in himself. A long term contract might just address that little self doubt.

it’s interesting seeing his parents coming over I think it was for the titans game? Not long after we hear about them negotiating.

I wonder if the club is allowed to give out cheap nice rentals to parents to look after their precious bubs for a few months at a time

I think the most distracted person in the starting line up is probably webby 😂 need to prepare for a presentation to the bosses and star player after getting the please explain notice and then fronting the media while managing the other two

Don’t be surprised when he botches our bench rotation and CNK comes on at centre, confused 😂

6. Channel Harris Tavita
7. Tanah Boyd.
Ditto
It works. Don't mess with it

I want to put a bit of Beastmodes post in too about Tanah and Origin but I'm not clever enough
Anyway.
Why do posters think that Origin selection for our players is a good thing? I don't understand. So many forum members seem to think its a good thing. And a good few of these are "senior" or knowledgeable members so I'm picking it must be a good thing.
Can someone please explain to me? Genuine question

For mine we lose some of our best players for 2 or 3 rounds. When we need them ourselves
We risk them coming back broken or tired
It raises their profile and their worth. So they become targets for other clubs recruitment and cost us more to keep.
And it disrupts our systems.
All for a series that has no relevance outside 2 Aussie states. Origin used to be a good thing for us because apart from Jacob Lillyman or Brent Tate or Barney we never lost players. Now we could lose our organiser, our metre eater, and if they go on incumbents one of our captains

Can someone please explain?

And back on the team list.
No changes to last game apart from Egan getting a rest if he needs it

Because it means alot to them and being a part of a club that pushes for them to represent their state/country/whatever brings a better side out of them.

It's not about us.

It's about them.

Most of the times players come back better from playing rep footy it unlocks a confidence level in them for example I always thought Big Ken came back a better player when he got picked for the kiwis in 2018

Sucks short term for us as a team but long term it can help since it’s proven we can develop players to rep level and it’ll help with recruitment

No. He’s asked the club for permission to look elsewhere, the club have granted it.
Can’t see him in a Warriors jersey again.
I think he would see the year out. Crazy to waste a million of our salary cap.
I don't expect him to be named anywhere and sold as a period to let it settle and allow him time to chat to other clubs
