Crazy depth

We are starting as 1.65 favorites (2.5 start). Bit surprised really: they are the reigning champs and it's at Suncorp.
They’re in poor form, have a boat load of injuries and the stadium will be mixed full of different fans reducing the home crowd edge they might have quite a bit. On the flip side we are the exact opposite and will be at full strength potential barring RTS. Makes sense no?

Not saying it’s going to be a walkover as we do historically struggle when we are favourites but the broncos are there for the taking.

I was at magic round last year and broncos played on Sunday. From what I remember, the fans of all the other teams that played on the previous days didn't turn up to the last day and it was essentially just broncos fans watching them play on Sunday. So I'm expecting this to be a traditional home game for them and for our boys to be facing a hostile environment.

Maybe a bit of a tangent but it is so ridiculous that we have to play the broncs twice at Suncorp this year.

Man, the Broncos will be on fire at home in magic round.

And the Refs will be on fire too.

I don't care about their outs, since when has that helped the Warriors?

We are underdogs in this one.

Having said that, if we play our best we can exhaust them and turn them into what they are, playing on the back of the Ref, high on adrenaline, till we strangle the fookers and put eighteen points on them in the second half unanswered.

I want to hear that fan anthem....no not the we are the 100% thingy....no no no not the limp ooo aaa up the Wahs....the real song....nah nah nah nah x2 hey hey hey good bye....as the two headed Brisbanians limp out of the stadium to their keyboards in their sack Madge thread.

With the stadium full of mixed fans we should get more support for every fellow Broncos hating people.

Adam Reynolds is back, so a spine of Walsh, Mam, Reynolds, Hunt and Carrigan at 13 still has a lot of teeth. Xavier Willison will fire up for sure. We should have far too much across the park, but we can't take the foot off the gas against these guys.

Don’t we always come back from byes a little rusty?

Mixed bag last five years (note - in 21/22 there was a week off in June though not listed as bye on rleagueproject, was that a full comp week off?)

2025 : L v Storm, L v Panthers, W v Tigers
2024 : W v Cowboys, L v Raiders, final round bye does the L v Raiders in Vegas R1 '25 count 😅
2023 : L v Broncos, W v Dragons, W v Titans
2022 : L v Eels (W v Tigers after week off in June)
2021 : L v Storm (L v Dragons after week off in June)

Baby Broncos in Napier was post bye as well so the comment above remembering that result also pertinent!

Fun fact, our next two opponents post-bye 2 & 3 are Sharks & Tigers, aka our only losses so far this year. Kinda funny how that happens, also vengeance games for us ;)
