🤖 Thread Summary

The discussion primarily focuses on Addin Fonua-Blake AFB, a prominent prop for the Warriors, analyzing his performance, impact on the team, and the circumstances surrounding his departure to the Sharks. Recently, users have been discussing AFB's final games with the Warriors, acknowledging his significant contributions despite earlier controversies. There's a sentiment that AFB will be missed, with many considering him the Warriors' player of the year, and a discussion about whether he ranks among the best props to ever play for the team, with some comparing him to Stacey Jones. Dantheman #287 jokingly threatened to "riot with Mrs Fonua-Blake" if AFB doesn't win Player of the Year.

Ongoing debate centers around whether AFB's behavior and reported off-field issues have negatively influenced the team's performance, with conflicting views on whether one player can significantly destabilize an entire team. Some, like Jeetz #235, question the notion that one player's attitude can cause an entire team to underperform, while others argue influential players can have a substantial impact on team dynamics. A recent leaving dinner with the team reported by Jeetz #265 has caused some to reconsider if AFB was actually a bad teammate with Ever Hopeful #266 saying it put the "toxic" rumours to bed.

Recent posts have scrutinized Anna Fonua-Blake's social media activity Jonesy69 #267, j_p #268, Aman 2.0 #269 with one instagram post receiving negative feedback. This has prompted discussion about its potential impact on AFB's, and even the teams performance with one person noting this occurs even whilst he performs well and his efforts helped the team jonesy101 #270, Inruin #271. Overall, while acknowledging AFB's on-field talent ZM Zarjaz #275, Dantheman #276, there's a recurring theme of disappointment about his off-field conduct and perceived lack of gratitude towards the club WA Warrior #274.

Speculation about deeper issues continues, with potential reasons, ranging from disagreements within the team to personal challenges and mental health to the actions of his partner. The long-term impact of AFB's departure on the Warriors is also a topic, and how the team will adapt to cover his absence. Tookey 2.0 #14 is thinking about trades with other clubs, Beastmode #215 suggests Webby is too clever for the team, with all leading to "conjecture". The possible replacement of AFB by JFH is also a point of interest, with some users positive about the change and some against JFH mrblonde #79 .

As AFB prepares to move to the Sharks, some are excited to see a fresh face who is more of a role model on the team, and are welcoming to JFH's mana and professionalism, and wish AFB the best.

How can haas and AFB have such close stats but haas be like 100 points clear on the dally M?

Haas also has Walsh and Reynolds to compete with who are great almost every week, and then they have players like Farnsworth, Staggs, Maam and Carrigan who will often jag a man of the match performance when they play exceptionally well every 2-5 games.

So I honestly don't know how Haas has all these points, especially when he isn't doing anything spectacular like making breaks, scoring tries or setting them up, like AFB.

It’s deffinetly worth digging into deeper because it makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Was Pricey ever the best prop in the game? Genuine question, I remember being in awe of him but I was too young to know the more meta parts of the game.

AFB is 1a or 1b with Haas this year for sure and has been top 5 for some time. If he gives us another year of this I think you need to give the mantle.

Pricey had mana with the refs, which I won't count towards his prop capabilities but we've never had it since. Would love for us to end up with an origin captain as our captain again.

Best prop we have now. If we win this week, next week and the week after it will be in big part to him being our best ever prop.

My favs.
Price......big metres, consistent
Vagana.......wow rated him highly
Paleaasina........loved his approach
Tookey.......fun to watch

AFB, different again. But when he is angry he could destroy a whole opposition pack.

That 2007 season he had with us he surely had to be considered the best prop going around?

Price for Dally M prop of the year in 2007 and also Dally M captain the same year. Averaged almost 200m per game. 4 tries that year. Phenominal.

I thoughts AFB had overtaken Price this year but checking back, Price was an absolute machine and Clearly the best prop in the game!
